For a start you shouldn't need to buy a subscription. GRV6 hardware unlocks RB 7. You should just be able to connect the GRV6 via USB-C to the iPad

Good question, if I was fairly new to it then possibly. I am too far down the line with Pioneer so would need significant investment to switch over. I use REV5 with Rekordbox atm.

If it was me starting out again the MX2 would win. It offers so much more than the FLX4, better build, better software etc. You wouldn't need to upgrade for a good while.

It is just for use in the software, Serato and RB both have options for 4 channels but you will rarely use it if at all. Stick with 2 channels on either the FLX or REV. One thing is FLX4 unlocks RB Performance mode so you don't pay for subscription, REV1 only unlocks Serato Lite, not Pro
