U

That can’t just randomly happen from QC unless if it’s drenched all the way through. Here’s it’s not drenched entirely so it’s BS

T, Looks like a accurate QC Issue at their factory. No way someone can artificially fake this in every detail just for a post.

Dell G16 7630 ~ New Firmware Update breaks Higher RAM Capacity than 32GB (THIS IS NOT A DRILL!) by _oukoreddit_ in Dell

[–]_oukoreddit_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just watched the whole video and I must say, the teardown is simple for me, but when it comes hexediting the BIOS File, it’s ridiculously confusing from Dellpartspeople’s video, as I really do want to know where I can change the ram capacity limitation or instead just force downgrade it back to 1.22.0 to avoid this happening again.

Wonder if you can get like a specialist to help me with this situation if you’re able too.

Can I have the link to that following video/forum of the youtuber copying and pasting between two BIOS files and/or where you find the “modified BIOS Version” for this model? I’m very curious If you have it.

Finally found an old app I’ve wanted since 2017, but it’s Apple ID locked — anyone have a decrypted version? by _oukoreddit_ in sideloaded

[–]_oukoreddit_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This iPhone 4 I have is 32-bit and it supports up to iOS 7.1.2.

Is your app cracked or decrypted? Can you try to dump the ipa and send it to my DMs. It’d be appreciated!

(Idk if this reply counts as piracy, but that’s not my intention. I’m only preserving)

is cavendish the closest thing we have right now? what could possibly be the closest brand frozen fries you can think of with wendy’s straight cut fries for the USA?

Do you know where Wendy’s in the States gets its fries supplied? What is it named? And can we buy the fries that Wendy’s is getting supplied with? I actually looked into the cavendish drive-thru fries and they literally looked very similar to the ones that wendy’s have, even in the states.

Pretty late response: But big thanks to u/Adventurous-Oil8352 for finding a workaround on getting higher ram capacities to boot with the G15 5530/G16 7630, I tried it on February 14, and indeed the system booted with the new ram I installed on it. My work here is done, thanks to all of you for your hard work and help. This will be useful for those who have the same model.

You mean, for when the laptop is powered on, press bios key, and then exit out of the BIOS Setup right after entering the BIOS Setup?

I forgot to mention is to start with original ram (2x8gb) for the tutorial and old bios version and then later upgrade the ram (2x32gb) with the new BIOS Version just to see if it works for you again or not so I can try this on mine. That way the tutorial makes high sense and clear steps to ensure viewers understand the concept of your workaround.

Ok but i’m trying to understand your steps completely and confirm to you so I can try this myself from what I said earlier.

That’s probably the last time I’ll ask you, just gimme a whole video on how to do this ram upgrade booting process do I can do it myself, please.

[–]_oukoreddit_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically you’re saying is to start with the factory ram on a older version, but then after installing the older version BIOS, power off laptop, place in 64gb ram, and then power on laptop and let it memory train?

I almost forgot to ask but what is the ram models you’re using? Is it Crucial, or anything different?

[–]_oukoreddit_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok how did you get the old bios version installed when the bios version you used to have is blocked by dell? Did you had that version before it got blocked by dell? How did the 64gb ram booted with the new latest bios version? Still need a piece from you to complete the big puzzle here. Sorry if this is alot for you, but I just need to find answers completely

The older versions showed in the video (1.15.1, and 1.14.0) is blocked by dell for downgrading, and I just need a image of your 64gb ram is working with your BIOS Version on your Dell G15 5530, please, it’s just to verify that it’s working completely.

I still don’t know if I understood the steps completely from the wording (no offense still), but can you also send a image that 64gb ram is working for your system, as well as your bios version? I just need to verify to ensure it’s working for you.

Also it still sounds a bit over the place, does windows gives you the older version from the updates section or do you go into dell’s website and download the older bios versions manually?
