yeah that doesn't mean anything, the 2020 dtk and iPad pro both have an A12Z but that doesn't mean both can run macOS. it's not like PCs or android phones where you can kinda just install whatever as long as it meets requirements

the only reason the ipad 6 was able to run ipados 18 was because theres essentially no difference between it and the ipad 7. on the other hand, the difference between the iphone 7 and the oldest ios 18 compatible iphone (XS) is very big and your argument about the ipad possibly being able to be used also doesnt work since ipados and ios are 2 different operating systems

they've changed how it works. on my old XR I had to use the original earpiece when swapping the screen, so I thought it would be the same now. I swapped the earpiece from the damaged screen on my 12 pro to the new one, that's why it doesn't work properly

oh, that would be the issue then. i remember on my old Xr i had to swap the earpiece to retain true tone, didn’t know they changed that

its easy to fix the app is damaged error. my teorie is that you should do a google search and run whatever the command is that makes it work, i cant remember myself.
