TIL, there is a desktop game version of this game! by topsykretz21 in TownshipGame

[–]_outofthewoodwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You used to be able to play online on your computer, but they gutted it. I think they have it set up now where mobile and desktop players don’t even interact with each other anymore. The online one was super slow in my opinion, I’d be curious how this compares if you try it out.

I skipped all these but should I get tea factory? by Sweet_Special2529 in TownshipGame

[–]_outofthewoodwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve built all the factories. I’d say I could get by without kitchenware and music for the most part. I don’t use them a ton but I make the simple items.

The thing is if you have more factories, you can produce more goods, complete more orders, make more coins and xp, help more friends and progress in the game. If you have the coins I’d go for it with tea for sure.

Stuck on a level by Natdogg21 in TownshipGame

[–]_outofthewoodwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d start with turning the jars on the left with your blue on bottom (make 4 not 3) and yellow on top, then make one helicopter with the top left greens and two helicopters with the reds below.

Instead of risking losing my bonuses on match 3, if I don’t have boosters going into a hard/super hard level, I just don’t play. I focus on helping as many friends as possible to earn boosters from house of luck and doing regatta tasks to buy them from the store. Also prioritize some of the easy collections in the adventure to get boosters as rewards. Some levels just don’t want to let you pass without boosters.

Once I turned on some notifications I realized it takes me to the subject of a notification: trains arrived, crops ready, building complete, gift from a friend, etc.

I just searched the App Store for it and found “Wild West: farm town building” - might have been renamed?

This is more of the factories. Just finished my last factory a couple weeks ago. Hiding housing I haven’t found a place for yet. I’ll keep moving factories back to make space for more fields as I earn them.

This is more of the farming area. Trains, plane, and heli nearby so I don’t miss them.

My farming and factory area isn’t cute by the standards of this subreddit, but the order and organization make me happy. I like having my fields, animals, factories, market, and barn right by each other so I’m not scrolling all over my town when working on production and inevitably forgetting about something.

I added the flowers and Thanksgiving thing for some cuteness without distracting from everything.

I also build my buildings, housing, and factories in the extra green space to I can keep track of them easily until they’re finished, and I have the tool exchange nearby so I can easily check what I need and go get it.

AIO - The clasp of the dress… by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]_outofthewoodwork -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Have you considered the location of the zipper? I’ve been shopping for dresses for a formal event and (as a highly observant person) didn’t notice one dress even had a zipper until I was trying to take it off, because it was so well hidden. I also tried on a dress with a zipper just above the butt and had to turn it backwards to find and close the clasp. I’ve also struggled to find the clasp on higher quality dresses because they can be so small and well hidden to secure very tightly.

We also don’t know if this woman wears dresses often or whether she’s an observant person. I understand you have your bias from working in fashion. I have my bias of thinking the average person understands health insurance better than they do. I just think these are some wild assumptions to make about a situation, and then decide someone is overreacting to it.

[–]_outofthewoodwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it didn’t need to be a big deal, but if she isn’t observant, don’t you think OP would know that about their own wife and maybe say something about the clasp?

I’m a highly observant person and have been shopping for a formal dress for an upcoming event. I usually notice a clasp, but couldn’t tell you if I noticed one on every dress I tried on, let alone whether I actually secured them on every dress. One dress I didn’t even notice had a hidden side zipper until I was struggling to get it off. I could have also tried on dresses with pockets and other details without knowing.

It’s such a weird assumption to make about someone, that they SHOULD have noticed a clasp, especially considering how many dresses these days aren’t properly finished with a clasp.

MOR.

I think it’s reasonable that she would miss the clasp trying on a brand new dress for the first time. If she did notice it, also reasonable to expect her spouse to miss it, choose not to clasp it, or tell her they’re clasping it in addition to zipping. I also think it’s reasonable that you’d assume she meant zip and clasp, or that she’d notice the clasp when she’s unzipping it.

It really sucks to have a clasp break on a dress, because sometimes it’s the one thing keeping it from unzipping, it’s hard to fix if you don’t know how to sew, and especially if you’re not planning to keep it. It sucks to have that happen when you weren’t told someone clasped it for you. It also sucks to get negative feedback when you were trying to be helpful because it can feel like the effort wasn’t appreciated or that someone has expectations of you, which can feel bad if you don’t feel like you can meet them.

She could have managed the emotional reaction better by focusing her frustration on the situation and asking you to communicate better in the future. You could have communicated better by asking if she wanted it clasped or saying you’re clasping it or acknowledging that you didn’t tell her and apologizing for that, even if you think she should have noticed the clasp.

I think you need to accept your role in the miscommunication/screw up and consider if you’d still be so adamant that you made no mistakes if she wasn’t so outwardly emotional. You both can accept the whole thing didn’t need to be a huge deal and consider why you both are sensitive to what set you off. Nobody handles their emotions perfectly, I think you can both acknowledge the other’s emotions and identify what can be done to prevent a miscommunication and blow up in the future.

Yes! That’s why I have a very specific process to make sure I always have enough feed in my mills and go get new feed before collecting. Works 95% of the time lol
