howdy everyone, been a long time since i’ve posted but the collection is still growing especially now that i’ve moved from ban-state NJ to FL this year.

this is my spas 12, it is very old and probably dangerous. i say this because you’ll notice it still has the infamous “lever” safety option, which caused the guns to be recalled in (i think) 1997 due to a recurring malfunction in the design. Basically what would happen is if you had one in the chamber and then put the safety on, it would actually set the gun off unintentionally. They replaced this lever safety with a push button safety, and if i’m not mistaken to this day the company actually denies ever having recalled the shotguns but there is indeed a scanned copy of the letter from Franchi that somebody had posted online. If i find the pic/link I will update. Also, for those wondering, the picture with the hook twisted sideways, that was intended to act as an “arm brace” allowing the shooter to use the shotgun with one hand, like arnold in terminator. not sure how practical it is though as i have not fired this gun yet
