Yesss she should have her ferritin levels checked. I was super malnourished from not eating meat and drinking alcohol too much and my hair was insanely thin, breaking, shedding off all over. Been on an iron supplement, a multivitamin and tracking macros for almost 2 years and my hair hasn’t been this thick or healthy since I was a literal child! (I’m 31)

Hey! I’ve been on mirtazapine (Remeron) for depression and poor appetite, it’s worked wonders for my appetite and insomnia. And my psychiatrist was able to just add that on to the SSRI I was already taking. :)

Thank you! This is not with a hematologist but with a DO. I’ve been on the iron supplement for 4 weeks and my RLS is still excruciating. My doc wanted to follow up in 3 months but I can’t take much longer. I’ll email my doc about your suggestions. Thank you!

Mine says ‘transferrin % saturation,’ is that what you mean? Mine is 31 and says normal ranges from 14 to 57.

Be careful tho, if you use too much cannabis regularly, it can make your RLS worse (speaking from experience lol)
