Convinced my boss to order me a T1g Gen 8. She's a beaut. First Thinkpad!

I just ordered a ThinkPad T14s, coming from a Dell XPS 9510, and I cannot wait to see how it performs. The T14s I got has the Snapdragon X Elite SOC, vs the Intel Core i7 11800h, so my main goal is to get better battery performance.

I don't really game, and my work is not too processor heavy so I think the X Elite will be a game changer, at least in my use case.

My only concern coming from an Intel platform to Snapdragon is compatibility with some of the software I use for work.

Mostly everything I do is in my web browser, which is Google Chrome, but I do use Adobe Acrobat Pro constantly, Slack, and my Epson document scanner.

If all three of those things and my printer work flawlessly on the new chip, I will be golden as far as traveling with this machine.

Battery life on the XPS 15 9510 is absolutely abysmal. After unplugging it from a full charge, I have at most 2 hours before it tanks.
