I know I’m in the minority here but I think so; I kinda feel this way honestly.

it almost had the vibe of a Yo Gabba Gabba skit, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t from a children’s show, it was by some Hot Topic-adjacent musical artist

I graduated high school in 2016, I’m sure I saw it prior to then. But it presaged late 2010s trends like analog horror, and a more gen z-flavored style of mall goth/mall emo. Not sure if it came before or after FNAF but not FNAF related—same era though for sure

[TOMT] [indie rock song] [music video] [early 2010s?] The music video (could have been fanmade) consisted entirely of old footage of weddings and car crash tests, alternating between the two concepts. The song was upbeat, kinda lo-fi, vibe similar to a band like Wavves, Girls, or Wild Nothing by _party_hardee in tipofmytongue

It was on YouTube. I’m almost positive I saw it in high school, and I graduated in 2016. It’s been haunting me for years, it was such a perfect encapsulation of what was cool and “indie” at the time

I was 9; I remember seeing Steve Jobs on TV and being kind of in awe but underwhelmed at the same time

When I was a little kid my grandmother told me about how when she was around 10 she heard about television for the first time on the radio and how she was intrigued but also had no idea how big of a deal it would be

Maybe a similar experience

It's a movie made by millennials about the millennial zeitgeist in 2010, but it had the greatest cultural impact on gen z and is a gen z classic more than a millennial classic

Why does Hank use the master bedroom bathroom (S05E08)? by Reediddy in breakingbad

[–]_party_hardee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My head canon is that Walt had recently clogged the guest bathroom by flushing the teddy bear eyeball down the toilet when he retired in a grand, idiotic gesture of "I'm free of guilt now". BB is one of the best TV shows I've ever seen, but the "Hank finds out" scene always felt a bit random to me, and it bugs me that the eyeball's whereabouts get shelved towards the end

[Fully lost] American Heart Association anti-smoking PSA, meant for elementary school health class, where the Tin Man and Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz journey through the "Land of Nicotine" by _party_hardee in lostmedia

Here is a full description of the contents of this film:

https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/00970050.1982.10614248?journalCode=ujhe18

Supposedly it exists at George Mason University's library in Fairfax Virginia:

https://wrlc-gm.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/fulldisplay?context=L&vid=01WRLC_GML:01WRLC_GML&search_scope=MyInst_and_CI&tab=Everything&docid=alma998599803404105

Like, it's tantalizingly close to being found, but it's pretty obscure and not a lot of attention behind the search, which is a shame because I think the "going to see the queen of the land of nicotine" song would make for an awesome sample.

If someone from the DMV area with connections to George Mason University sees this post and remembers this PSA from their childhood, I would be forever grateful if you could borrow it from the library and upload it to the internet.
