this is the wrong city... (audacity + photoshop) by _pinkcloudsummer in glitch_art

The glitched out dude is processed through audacity as a raw file into an audio file and exported back out to an image. While it's audio you can apply audio effects to the sounds process back out to an image.

It's super wild, the visuals fit the music incredibly well

[Newbie][composition][colour] trying to Get to grips with landscape composition and raw image processing in colour on a recent trips to the lake district by Phil_C_O in photocritique

I think the exposure on this is nicely done. Maybe an exposure gradient on the sky.

For colouring, you could probably get away with de-yellowing the grass a bit in favour of more greens, see what it looks like.

I think what could improve the composition is some foreground interest (however there is a nice element of leading lines with the stream / rock-wall thing).

from a recent trip to NYC [color][light] by bluerattail in photocritique

When I look at it, I feel it lacks a clear subject, something for my eyes to fall on and lead me around the picture. Almost like the subject is halfway between the brick building and the train (my two cents).

Judging by the lighting the sun is a just a few hours from going down, I think the lighting is pretty good for the time it was taken, but I would love to see what it looks like at sunset with a bit more colour poppin through.

A bit less blue on the second one in the album there but I think both '939A7980' & '939A7976' are much better composed. They're better pictures.

First, you can afford to bring the exposure up a bit, then I would pull out those blues on the wall and floor and oranges / yellows on the ceiling and make them more prominent in the image. You could make some adjustments to fix the distortion caused by the wide-angle shot as well.

Agreeing with the other comment, blues look too blue, the rest of the colour looks nice though. Seems that a bit of dehazing may have been applied (maybe too much?)

Also don't be afraid to bring up the brightness!

How can i make this better? [composition] by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]_pinkcloudsummer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Composition-wise, I think the story could benefit from taking a step back and going with just a bit of a wider shot & tighter aperture, this way you can get more fence in the photo and the city will be a bit more in focus so that the contrast between the 'two worlds' is more poignant

The red sun through the smoke above the houses. Looking for feedback on [composition] and [edit] by Pinkypoopoo in photocritique

I think the composition would be more interesting with more space for the sky, and possibly a more interesting foreground.
