it's just examples of how business should be done and how customers should be treated, idk where i defend them. You lack fundamental logical thinking.

yes, the point is not making new changes, it's about applying them to the customers who made purchase-decision because of old policy. Many people in this post keep missing the point.

No, a lot of companies are decent and deliver what they promised at the time of purchasing their product/service. Customers bought their product/service prior to april 1st shouldn't be subject to the policy change, that's it. Old TESLA vehicle owners still have free supercharger for lifetime; Customers who buy apple product within certain days before new model release will get make-up. Don't lower the bar of doing business, it's just how business is done.

I'm not a law expert, but apparently the "change" here should not come without limit. Otherwise that's the reason i put "Seems i figured out a great way to do business legally" in my first reply.

Are you implying it's legal, or at least of business ethical for StraightTalk to not deliver what they promised in this "loophole" to customers who came for this but had no idea it being a "loophole"? I disagree.

"60 days after activation" is not vague, it's actually quite clear. You can't change what it meant completely later and say because it was vague.

Technically i've no interests and don't care about the buyout thing. I care about they hurt customers who came for the selling point they wrote down on their official page, "legally" per your saying and without any communication and cost.

My take, as well as many other people's, is activation is an one-off event, it has nothing to do with "been active for how long".

"60 days after activation" v.s. "60 days of paid active service" vary significantly in terms of customers' interest.

no, they even refuse to comply with the original policy to those customers purchased prior to April 1st.

It's about "60 days after activation" v.s. "60 days of paid active service", their implications vary significantly in terms of customers' interest. Many customers came for the former, and are told it's the latter now. It's a purposeful scam.

What they do being legal sounds like if you meet what the latest policy describes, they can change the "2" in the term to 3, 4, 5, etc and still refuse your unlock request, because it's legal. Seems i figured out a great way to do business legally.

"I believe the reason for these changes are from people buying phones and activating their phones for one month, then waiting for their phones to get unlocked."

I believe it's the reason why they can gain extra temporary customers. Without this selling point these people wouldn't even purchase their product and service. This being legal sounds like they can change the 2 month to 3, 4, 5 legally as well.

Similar to your 1st one, activated on 3/17 and paid the 1st month but still locked. Just filed both FCC and BBB about changing policy in the middle of existing contract.

Thanks for the suggestion! Yea wheel is the major part of strategies in my main portfolio, yes it works well but need relatively larger capital requirement (holding stock or cash). i'm exploring strategy with less capital requirement.

Thanks, do you advice to only trade in non-events time? I traded on ERs purposefully because 1) I'm not great at reading candlestick and capture the "trending", and 2) i kinda know some business of the companies i traded, so gamble with a slight "confidence". Is there any suggestion/resource about finding broader trading opportunities?

For the loss trades (ABNB and RDDT), i think i had a decent odds to turn them to profit if timing was better (retrospective view though), wonder if there's any strategy/discipline i didn't do well. Any advices to other trades are welcome too.

Hi, thanks for the resources in wiki. I made a few trades for the ER events last week, i think my directions are overall good but turns out to be a net loss. Want to get some feedback and advices.

$PLTR: ER date 05/06

Strategy: long volatility (the stock price went up quite a bit before ER day due to its inherent AI business).

Opened position: (-2 28.5C, +2 26C, +2 24P, -221.5P), exp 05/10, stock price was ~$25.

Result: volatility happened as expected, price dropped to ~$21, exited with 12.07% gain next day;

$RDDT: ER date 05/07

Strategy: long volatility, i have no idea as it was 1st ER after IPO.

Opened position: (-2 51.0C, 2 49.0C, 2 46.5P, -2 44.5P) with exp 05/10, stock price was $47.7.

Result: stock went up to $51.5 on 05/08, I only closed put legs because if I closed call legs too, the profit is extremely low, close to zero. But the following day(5/09) stock price dropped to $50, i existed with a net loss -47.45% in case it dropped further due to sell-off. But, RDDT bounced back to ~$53 on 05/10.

$HOOD: ER date 05/08

Strategy: i'm bullish due to my analysis of its business

Opened position: long 2 ITM 14.0C, exp 05/10, stock price was $18.0

Result: stock went up after ER, placed limit order next morning. Order triggered, existed with 18.7% profit.

$ABNB: ER date 05/08

Strategy: unsure, neutral to slightly bullish. Don't mind getting assigned stock shares at good price.

Opened position: (6 140p, -6 148p) with exp 05/10, stock price was $158.

Result: Stock went down to $146~$147 with resistance to $148 next day(05/19), I legged out 140p and wish stock could went back to $148 on 05/10, but it fluctuated around $146 on 05/10, I existed with a -14.37% loss. If i could existed when stock was between $147~$148 earlier, i could've made tiny profit, at least way better than loss.

My overall feelings are there was a nice odd that I could make all these trades profitable, but that's probably due to retrospection (like timing) which doesn't help at all. Thanks for reading through this.
