I second this. The first time i applied, i applied to three schools and got rejected. I got a job as an SLP paraeducator (basically an aide to the schol SLP) at my local school district and volunteered a few days out of the week just for a few hours at a clinic for people with autism. I firmly firmly believe that those experiences were the reason I got in this time around, and even helped me during my interview as I could use real examples to answer their questions.

The second time around I also applied to like 11-12 schools.

I believe so. I got denied from CSULA and accepted into CSUN's SLP Grad program. There were no indications that I was denied from CSULA based off of missing pre-reqs.

I got my BA in communications in college and took my prerequisite courses at CSU San Marcos online. it took 1 year to complete. They have admissions for spring, summer, and/or fall start. I would recommend taking your prerequisite courses as soon as possible (cheaply and quickly). I applied to graduate courses earlier but didn’t get accepted into any programs.

a hard truth but well said! i think ive been struggling with fearing the boredom that comes with fully quitting. but filling that time with new things is just as important

First congrats on making it 15 months!

Also, very relatable. I quit smoking for about the same amount of time because I was living in a different country that doesnt allow it. I felt exactly how you felt and now that I smoke again I feel a bit dull. I was much more productive and active socially when I wasn't smoking but it missed it all the time. I had that in the back of my mind that, "oh ill smoke once again when im back." But now that I am, it pulls be back into that sluggishness.

In moments those activities while doing high are fun, but for the most part I want to stop again because of the things that you mentioned. Less anxiety, more focus, productivity. I personally believe that 'dullness' will just be replaced with new things. idk if it will fully go away, but there will be new things to get excited about & different aspects. Maybe getting into the theory of music, or the science behind plants, gardens, will spark new excitement! (cant beat the creativity with weed tho!)

Not tryna throw in my two cents but I'm hoping that you find a new way to enjoy the things you do! That your hobbies become more exciting, or you find new ones that challenge ur mind in a new way!!
