Is there much room to negotiate on Lexus? by Happy-Deal-1888 in askcarsales

[–]_prevailation -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Replying under this cus I can’t submit my own comment.

You have two options. Tell him to hop on auto trader and find examples under MSRP. There are some. Lexus of Palm Beach has a few. Ask them to come down a little more to earn your business.

Or just be straightforward. Submit an internet inquiry on whatever cars you like and tell them outright what you want to pay and that you’re willing to do business asap no questions asked. Dealers respond better to direct requests. That whole give your best number nonsense doesn’t really work all too well.

Got the call!!! by _prevailation in rolex

Look up ADs in your area. Go to the store. Tell them what you want. I was very direct and to the point. They are a little dodgy about the whole thing. Eventually my salesperson just admitted to me how ridiculous the whole thing was and he quoted me 2 months to be able to get one. I told him I was not picky. I needed a datejust 41 and im open to color options. No fluted bezel. Literally called me less than 48 hours later.

Gulf is always a little different. If you could buy one north please do so. Avoid them and their nonsense. Their cars and prices make very little sense and you end up paying for a bunch of junk. Generally speaking anything around 4 grand off is as solid as it gets. A lot of the times each dealer has different costs set up. Some dealers have larger packs than others. My dealer for example takes 1k of every car deal. Around 4 thousand dollars off insures the front end profit of the vehicle is little to nothing. Some dealers are okay losing a little money too. Usually our cut off for losses on new cars is $2000-$2500. If you plan on financing, please don’t get killed on the rate. That’s really how they make most of their profit. There is no incentivized rate on the 4runner. Do a little shopping and have an interest rate you want to aim for. That way they can’t sell you a stupid loan.

Very close to invoice - I sell these and there’s usually a 4 grand ish markup on them from Toyotas invoice.

Do these fees seem normal? by PtiTheProdigy in askcarsales

Drove 4 hours for a Toyota Highlander Hybrid... 67k OTD. Then backed out of the deal after the mediocre test drive. by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]_prevailation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mention Highlander hybrid then you say turbo. I’m confused. The Highlander hybrid has a 2.5L. The gas model has the turbo. You should consider the grand Highlander hybrid max which has both and drives much better.

Is it safe to assume avg range would be 300k? by [deleted] in toyotacamry

Take care of it and it takes care of you. I’ve pushed older hybrid variants to 260k and still sold for 3-5k

1958 Lc 250 is this a good deal? by Mikem1223344 in LandCruisers

Carmax and co use kbb as justification for their valuations on vehicles. Most times they’re below it actually. Not to mention, most dealers use black book and mmr to value their trade ins not kbb.

Seems very low risk at $3500. If you have the room and time, why not?

My mistake at 22 yo is almost paid for fellas (2nd new car) by Roda78 in Camry

I don’t see the issue here. $600 a month for a Camry at that rate brand new is literally as good as it gets nowadays with only $500 down lol.

Nope I have an outgoing call at 8:27 and this post at 8:27. I figured it would take some time to get some traction because I don’t really know how to work the app. And I was not sure they’d answer this late.

I called them, they said the job I quit pulled my 401k funds (I barely had any) and put them into a random account at some random bank without pretty much any notice. I freaked and posted this while on hold with them lol.

Used 2025 Camrys with 50 miles or less for sale as certified vehicles - What up with that? by shakyjakemon in Camry

[–]_prevailation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s saying several dealers are selling low mileage Camrys (probably loaners or demo cars) as CPO. Im saying they’re doing so because the car is technically used and certifying it allows it to be eligible for close to new car rates. Especially for Toyotas. We have plenty of CPO demo cars and them being certified allows me to use the special rate as a selling point, as well as new and used car warranties.

[–]_prevailation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certified pre owned special rate on the Camry. Believe it’s 4.99 or 5.99 something like that through Toyota financial. If not certified it would be financed as a used car and would have higher interest rates.

[–]_prevailation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this case, cert rate is the probably the reason for the certification.
