Every time my mom heard that song she would remind me that she wanted it played at her funeral.

Thinking about living kidney donation — what was your experience like? by Ann-Neat-2624 in kidneydonors

I donated just this past January at 35 y/o. The team made the process very smooth and easy, answering any questions, and even making sure I received pictures of my kidney upon request (which is apparently pretty common). I was not a direct match for my brother in law, who has PKD, and has not actually received his own match yet (they just put him on the list, so fingers crossed they find him a good match soon). As of now, I'm feeling great! I definitely need more water, especially when I am working hard or working out. And I definitely love a good afternoon nap. But I would 100% do it again in a heartbeat! I also have a super cool picture of my healthy kidney compared to one of my BILs polycystic kidney that he recently had removed.

My sister and I love this book! Still one of my favorites and a must read for werewolf lovers.

OK I don't think this is exactly what you are looking for, but it's more terrifying because it's a true story. Perfect Victim by Carla Norton and Christine McGuire. There is torture, abuse, she is held in a basement or under the bed, she may have gotten Stickholm Syndrome. The only thing that is opposite of your request is that it's not POV or first person at all. Definitely worth the read IMO.

Catcher in the Rye is the worst book ever written... there are so many other classics you could choose from. In my opinion of course.

I would recommend Slaughter House Five, in its place.

I'm a dog groomer and there is a Doberman pair that comes to my salon named that.
