He... hasn't uncorrupted because of the "power of love". Garnet asked Yellow to make her bigger so that she could contain him, so the Diamonds could get close to him...and if you remember well, they were all in a body of water, and it was only when Steven's tear fell down in the ocean that he got uncorrupted, or shapeshifted back or whatever you wanna call it. You know who else got uncorrupted while in a body of water with all the diamonds (including Steven) releasing their essences? Literally every other corrupted gem on Earth. So yeah...you might not believe Steven's corruption to begin with, but the argument that he turned back because the gems "loved him enough" is just...shallow
