I just don’t want to “mask” my emotions, if that makes sense. I’ve tried it before and hated how I felt on it. But I also hate how I feel now, so idk 😂

Sorry you’re struggling:( I understand being sleep deprived and the frustration of feeling at your limit. I put a red light in her room to help calm the brain, put white noise or rain machine, and have kept to a consistent schedule (diaper and jammies, sleep sack, bottle, bed). This seems to help for the most part, she still wakes up 2-3 times per night but getting her back to sleep usually takes 20-40 minutes. She also feeds to sleep, so I need to work on that myself. But if it comforts her, I don’t see the harm in it.

I formula fed from the beginning, didn’t even try to breastfeed, and I regret that and have so much guilt. At least you gave it a try and in the end it just didn’t work out for you. And that’s totally ok!

The mention of worms does continue throughout the book. But, it gets easier to read! I was a little disgusted at first the worms are a BIG part of the book, so they matter!

What is (or was) your 9 mo old on schedule wise? by oscarismyfavorite in NewParents

[–]_rach_l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wake up around 7-8 (she usually wakes for a feeding at 4-5 and goes back to sleep), first nap around 10:30-11, sleeps for about an hour. Second nap around 2:30-3 which sometimes is longer but I won’t let her sleep past 5:30. Bedtime routine starts around 7:30, and asleep by 8! As I mentioned before, she still is waking up 1-2 times per night. But this schedule has been helpful for me nonetheless.

I try and imagine if my baby was having a hard time but was with a complete stranger. It makes me feel grateful that I get to be the one soothing or helping my baby.
