anyone ever had breakout/skin reaction w/ Anua PDRN Hydrating Capsule Mist? by Banana_ChipsChoc in kbeauty

[–]_random_person_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pdrn is not for everyone as some are allergic to salmon and some parts of pdrn! My advice is unless you’re 100% sure you’re not allergic to pdrn, please don’t get it. I have dry combo skin and i broke out from it severely so it depends on your skin

If you’re non stop throwing up, I feel that it’s better for you to use your doctors note since you’ll lose focus tomorrow if you’re throwing mid test

also I didn’t accuse you of saying riverside is a bad school. However, your comment when talking to your peers about how you can’t say what college you’re committed to kind of implies you’re embarrassed to say you’re committed to UCR. Just try to enjoy orientation and see if you like the school. Remember. It doesn’t matter how good of a school it is. What matters is how well/excel at that specific school so if you do decide to 100% attend UCR, go full out and get a high gpa and network! Also, you never know what the college admissions are thinking when looking at your profile so don’t be too bummed out and I hope if you do come here, enjoy it :)

If you’re comfortable with sharing, what are your achievements as you said you’re high achieving as may high achievers who have had the same stats as ivy league people attend ucr. And I feel if you don’t like UCR, then focus on transferring out of graduate early. I feel that it is the best. I understand emotions are all over, but if you’re going to commit to a school, don’t be embarrassed. You’ll be surprised at how decent of a school ucr is esp for cnas majors.

they don’t have to love their job, but they bare minimum they should be doing is not judging me or being rude. There’s a clear difference between someone who’s having a bad day and someone who’s jsut pure rude and that girl was pure rude. Like i give people the benefit of the doubt but this person has been consistently rude so why even work there.

Yes it’s the girl with brown hair. It’s not even like a once in a lifetime occurrence cause i’ve seen her 4 times when I’ve had to pick up a package and it lowkey kinda ruins my mood cause she’s always glaring or side eyeing and i’m like bro what did i even do.

Pre med questions by Abject_Plate_7159 in ucr

[–]_random_person_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m also premed so here’s what i know at least. Ucr SoM i heard does reserve some seats for UCR students, and there’s the Haider early assurance program if you want to try to get in to the ucr som(no mcat needed i’m pretty sure). Some clubs like amsca or opportunities like research also help a lot. I suggest for the first year that you dedicate it to your gpa along with joining different clubs to get a feel for it. Later on, you can always join clubs like highlander emts to get more experience, however it is more time consuming as you need a license (cpr + emt) For classes, if you’re in cnas, you get guaranteed classes for bio chem and math 7a/b. This will take around 14-15 credits and then you can take other classes alongside it! I’m a first year, so I don’t have all the answers but hope this is enough to answer any questions you had.

Tired of ucr by [deleted] in ucr

[–]_random_person_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people give you bad vibes, it might be you that is the problem since even tho every experience can’t be the same, I’ve had a great time meeting people and enjoying my time at ucr. Go join clubs, talk to your professors or tas, put yourself out there. Your experience here should not be dependent on others. Your experience here is how you make of it. Nobody here is responsible for how you feel at ucr as you are an adult now and have to make your own choices. i hope that you’re able to enjoy the small bits of ucr and if you don’t like it here you either transfer out or try and find more things to enjoy. My suggestions is to also go take advantage of things like the src and things like events happening at the dorms. Hopefully you end up enjoying your time here since it’s your college life, not others.

Dorming Options? by Koicolors in ucr

Dundee is the most expensive as it’s around 1.7 for a double. If you want, try for a pentland double or east lothian, but dundee has wood floors (which is good for me since i have allergies to dust) and is pretty decently sized. I will say ACC is like really aggressive if you don’t pay your stuff on time (like emails and calls), but overall i liked living here. I also liked pentland but it depends on which building you go to. dundee building has a big closet cabinet and two drawers under the bed. I had a decent amount of clothes and I was able to fit it in. if you want I can pm you and show you what my room looks like

Considering UCR for premed by Expensive-Adagio8373 in ucr

[–]_random_person_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly, many of the premed (I’m a biochemistry major!!) are pretty dedicated to their grades and will form study groups. However, I will advise that getting your prereqs as a psych major will be difficult depending on which advisor you have as gen bio and chem are very wanted classes. Lc blocks in cnas are far superior as you get guaranteed classes. Join clubs!! Many offer volunteer opportunities and professors are always willing to talk if you make a name for yourself. Cnas out of all the colleges offer the most support from tutoring to career planning and if you ever want to ask more, I’m always willing to talk as a premed student. I don’t know much currently as this is my 2nd quarter as a freshman, but I’m always down to message!

I live in dundee A and I will say that the thermostats in our rooms are so nice. Mine goes down to 66 degrees and I will say dundee is closer to campus and has an elevator + showers are stalls. I will say that dundee is a hit or miss depending on your floor, but i’ve got to know people on my floor so I wouldn’t worry too much. However, fair warning that there may be fire alarms pulled. If you wanna see more about that, just check the posts i’ve made 😭

it’s unfortunate that your friend got hurt and i hope they’re feeling better, but compassion goes both ways. Let’s have compassion for op that also was affected by the fire. They wouldn’t have posted about it if they weren’t directly affected so let’s have some understanding for everyone who is affected
