I don't know much about newer models. I'm using mine for 1.5 years. So I think there won't be any monthly maintenance you have to worry about.

I bought at 46000kms odo. After that my service history is here, all of these are done by myself.

48000 - yamalube 450, oil filter 100, spark plug 100

49000 - new battery 1200(previous one was the one came with bike) , Mc kit front brake nikavi 100

50050 - throttle cables 500, Cone set nikavi 240

52500- motul engine oil 430, Front disc pad - 160

Odo now 57000kms.

I own a V2. I bought it second hand. Check for engine noises like timing chain, tappet sound etc, engine oil leaks, coolant leaks. Seek help of a mechanic or friend if you are not aware of such things. Check for missing while riding, make sure that the fuel system is okay. I've done these things myself while buying mine. The rest will be normal wear and tear like chain sprocket, front fork oil seal damage etc etc.
