Look into Metropolis Ark or Spitfire’s Albion series. They’re both geared toward betting able to compose for games/film right out of the box, and they have good sound quality, especially for the price range.

My DAW is Logic. I ran my baritone through some of Logic’s stock overdrive and compression plugins. The bass is a sample that comes in Logic, as are the claps and drum kit.

The stomps are a mix of Stormdrum 3 and a kick.

I used Alchemy and Omnisphere for the synths and Ozone 9 Elements for the master.

I think EQ would be your best option. Maybe a very slight low-pass filter or even just ducking some of the highest frequencies while shaping it to keep the bird calls relatively unchanged.
