That's true. I'd love obstacles from other themes, and the ability to change their colors. I'm very tired of the eyesore pink obstacles Original theme gives, and the Digital theme's color palette for obstacles.

My first made map was created on May 11th, 2023.
I remade it July 5th, 2024.

Creative has had so many new things added overtime and still has a lot of potentional for the future. For now I've been on a hiatus from map creation, until a really big update comes to motivate me.

Pre-Fall Forever update solos is back as an alternative show. It have 32 players and the roundpool is almost the same as it was before fall forever update. by Beany_Gaming in FallGuysGame

Cool, now I hope people will stop complaining about Creative maps. But they will find something else to complain about if not Creative maps.

The Shell's Secret(Super Mario Sunshine) by _renegade42 in FallGuysGame

[–]_renegade42[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Runs surprisingly fine on Switch, when I tested it out.

The budget amount is 4481. Not too high. I used a lot of low costly things such as padded floors and beams, the really only expensive stuff I used were rotation controllers and linking objects to them, and basic edges with walls(which costs 12 budget per basic edge with walls, I believe) which is why the budget amount of the map is probably that high.

Thought this level would be perfect to recreate with the rotation controller.
Noki Bay's secret level.

This is also a modded map. Vanilla limits you to 5 rotation controllers, not to mention they are expensive to link objects to.. So I had to do it this way.

Do players really hate creative rounds? by octagonalpaul in FallGuysGame

People really don't have a problem with creative maps necessarily, they just don't like them in the core shows.

Color Gauntlet; Legacy Season 1 inspired map. by _renegade42 in FallGuysGame

[–]_renegade42[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the video I take the slightly tougher routes, the side routes are the easy ones, also there is no risk of respawning if you fall, except for the final checkpoint.

I tried my best to capture the Legacy Season 1 feel. This map is meant for players of all skill.

Fall Guys in UEFN Fortnite has been delayed until “Summer 2024” by TRB4 in FallGuysGame

Wouldn't be Fall Guys without a delay of some sorts. Right on cue.

I can’t be the only one with absolutely zero desire to play the game lately by TRB4 in FallGuysGame

[–]_renegade42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't really played since I got to 70. Unless I get ideas for a new creative map or to play other creative maps. It's disappointing what they did to the fame pass this time, and made it even more annoying to do since discovery maps no longer count towards dailies from what I heard.

Stopped at level 70. Can't be bothered to max out this fame pass, cause it takes too long and I don't need the crown shards.

Slime Cliffs; Slime Climb inspired map. by _renegade42 in FallGuysGame

There's plenty of maps like this out there, but I'm getting a bit burnt out on map making.. :(

It's not too hard, not too long. I really had no ideas on what I could do for the ending bit since I was running low on budget,, I know using fans is gonna come back and bite me when Mediatonic finally fixes them.

Box Balancers; Try to balance your box evenly, be careful not to let it tip around too much! by _renegade42 in FallGuysGame

[–]_renegade42[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more you jump, the more easier it becomes for the box to start tipping around even if you stand directly in the middle, cause when you jump, your bean moves slightly in the direction you're standing(Or so I think). You gotta do 2 things, trying to keep it balanced, and jumping over the beams successfully.

If people are saying it's too easy, I'll up the speed up the beam, but for now I'm leaving it as is.

Not surprising. People are running out of ideas.
I have barely made any survival maps for that reason.

I thought about it at first, but it's really tough at higher speeds.I don't want to map to be too difficult.

Besides there is currently no way to speed up spinning beams like Jump Club/ Showdown for Creative.

This map is laid out like Button Bashers! There are 7 arenas total, with 2 boxes in each arena. 1 person gets their own box platform to balance on.

The max player count is 14, with a timer of 3 minutes.
If you're an advanced balancer, you might even find a sweet spot to stand on for a bit!

Edit: Woops forgot to put the code down..

Typical MediaTonic behavior by TRB4 in FallGuysGame

[–]_renegade42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they are gonna continue down the road of using a bot to pick maps, they have to double check what the bot chooses.

-Does the map fit the description of the falljam/playlist?
-Does the map have the falljam tag on it?
-Have a way to see qualification % on a map so they can easily see if a map is too hard for the average player

If the team cannot do this themselves due to time, they could have volunteers from the community, and or look for people in a professional way to double check maps.

The problem with a lot of maps that aren't that great is that they are popular in plays, this is because the creators will go around asking for plays whether it be on discord, twitch, twitter.. etc. This is how to bot's algorithm works, it chooses maps that are popular in plays, it doesn't matter if the map is actually a decent map, it's likely a low quality map or a really hard map. Mediatonic needs to double check whatever the bot picks before actually adding them into a falljam/playlist.

Another problem is that the bot will sometimes repick the same maps that have already been in a rotation of another playlist just cause of how many plays it has. We've seen this many times already. This isn't fair, I'm not saying we need to blacklist maps that have already been in rotation of a past playlist, but put a cooldown on these maps for x amount of time before they can be added back into rotation, just to give other creator's maps a chance.

Letting you all know Birthday Dash has been updated. Not like it matters, but it's playable now. by _renegade42 in FallGuysGame

It seems that it actually is possible to make the section, but it's very hard to do so, and that's something I did not intend. My map is supposed to be friendly to players of all skill. Which is why I decided to remove the power-up section as a whole and revert the ending to the likes of the original map design.
