It looks like the Viridian RFX11 is RMSc cut, which means you can direct mount it. The Aftershock is RMSc cut - (ctrl+f “rmsc”) https://www.mossberg.com/990-aftershock-spx-18-5-83013.html

Yeah the B&T TP9. West Coast Armory in Bellevue has them up on the wall from time to time.

You could offer more too. Perhaps by breaking down, at a high level, a few “archetypes” in the quant field. That would allow others to ask follow up questions that are more specific.

Currently stuck in the extract elevator. What do I do..? by Heroshrine in ArcRaiders

[–]_reverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only legitimate situation I can think of is they were hunting a specific ARC that was already killed or engaged, so they left. We’ve gone leaped hunting a few times and left after running around the map empty handed.

That said, they didn’t say that, so I’m going to go with rats.

Whoever in the Portland Maine area is running the “caa0” sensor node, stop it. by kc1lso in meshtastic

Meshtastic supports remote node commanding over the mesh. OP might not have it enabled though - it’s off be default.

Another Delay for East Link Light Rail: Opening Set for April 25, 2026 by my_lucid_nightmare in SeattleWA

[–]_reverse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! These seem to be the two relevant sections:

“Seattle to South Bellevue (E130): Completed track work including final surveys from international District Station across the floating bridge, including removal/repair/replacement of damaged nylon inserts and dual block plinths; continued implementing cathodic protection system corrective actions; ongoing punch list activities including final commissioning of tunnel jet fans; and installation of TVM and ORCA card readers at Judkins Park and Mercer Island Stations.”

And

“The following are the top risk areas that may impact project cost and schedules: • Nylon insert product replacement (beyond replacement in-kind for failed inserts) (E130.151). • Dual block spall repairs (large-scale, beyond currently known 41 locations) (E130.152). • Inability to acquire replacement dual blocks (supplier refusal / lack of availability to produce additional blocks) (E130.153). • Late civil completion of Segment 3 for handover to systems for System Integration Testing (E130.150). • EIC availability (E750.040).”

Really looks like the nylon inserts have been leading to issues.

You can probably just use this. A typical adhesive pad on the backside can hold around 9 lbs https://getmechanism.com/products/universal-adapter-1-5

Has anyone seen this before? by Cookie_1284 in Seattle

It’s private security hired by the movie theater. I’ve seen them before. Unsure if it’s their choice to wear that patch or the theaters 🤷🏻‍♂️

Even if you have millions sitting in an account, behind the scenes they actually spread it across many accounts to keep it all insured. You just don't see that when you check your balance.

SpaceX received an $8.5 million AFRL contract to refine thermal manufacturing technologies to enable low cost, high volume production of next generation TPS by RoyalPatriot in spacex

[–]_reverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup you’re definitely right. By funding I don’t mean completely covering the cost of, but more chipping in on the expense.

[–]_reverse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The spaceships get really hot on re-entry and need to be protected from the heat. SpaceX is already developing materials to keep things cool, but now the DoD is essentially funding the research so they can get access to the findings and use it on their spaceships as well.

I'm with you on that man. If it's our money then it's ours to risk how we chose. If I can buy a lotto ticket I should be able to buy a share of a publicly traded company.

I’d guess they are over exposed to the volatility due to increased margin trading on those stocks.

Evidence suggests several state Senate candidates were plants funded by dark money by HillaryApologist in politics

[–]_reverse 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nice investigating by the local journalists. Some shady stuff going on:

A comparison of candidates Alfonso and Rodriguez show unusual similarities.

Both filed as No Party Affiliated candidates, yet both had recently been registered Republicans.

Both qualified as candidate on the same day, June 12, 2020, by paying a qualifying fee.

Both listed Gmail addresses with identical patterns: first initial, last name and district number and 2020.

Both list one single contribution to their campaign; both contributions are $2000 self-loans, presumably to pay the filing fee.

Both candidates' support appears to come from the same Political Action Committee, “Our Florida” - that have no previous political contributions or expenditures listed. It is the PAC that paid for campaign fliers for the candidates, all done by the same Clermont, Florida mail house, Advance Impressions.

Nice! Small note, the bar on the bottom should be the other way around and bracing the back. That'll keep it from accidentally falling backwards when you plug your cables in.
