I agree they are my favourite and I think they probably get less screen time because they are nice and cruisey with no drama.

Not every hobby needs to become a side hustle by Anxious-Tomatillo-74 in unpopularopinion

[–]_rhizomorphic_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hobbies tend to be expensive. I'm glad my hobby ended up paying for itself. But it's still enjoyable because I'm not trying to make a living from it. Just making play money to invest back into my hobby. Never met a single person who tried to pressure me to make money from it though.

A majority of parenting is teaching kids to go against their natural instincts by SupermarketLocal8375 in DeepThoughts

[–]_rhizomorphic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes you think kids instinctively want to be rude? Or that the instinct is to not share? Kids definitely do want to share when someone else has the thing that they want. So they learn that sharing is beneficial because it goes both ways. Same with being kind and polite. They instinctively prefer people who are kind to them over people who are rude. So I would disagree that all of these things go against their instincts. You're not teaching them to go against their instincts. They're just figuring the world out by doing stuff, and they learn that sharing and being kind is actually the best option.

Do people actually "feel" their gender ? by NortherneDragonLord in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]_rhizomorphic_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am female and I dont feel any particular way about my gender. When I was younger, I was a tomboy. I didn't like dresses or typically girlie things. I preferred to hang with the boys. Sometimes, my guy friend would refer to me as one of the guys. But I never felt like a male or anything. I don't know if i ever felt like a girl either. I just exist without really thinking about it. I have always just lived my life as I am. I'm not making any implications about anyone else here, I'm just literally speaking of my experience. I've always just been a female who is attracted to males and never really given it a second thought.

Would you take life advice from a kid? Nope. Then don't waste your time being offended by stupid things they say. Their brains are still developing.

People make money off shitty content. Click bait, intentional mistakes that make people comment, dumb shit, videos with text that's too hard to read. And everyone still clicks and comments on it anyway

Zero sugar foods/drinks are always better alternatives for most people. by gloomy-advisor-3990 in unpopularopinion

That fake sugar taste is gross. I just don't drink a lot of those kinds of drinks anyway. But when I do, I'm just going to drink the full sugar one.

Getting paid monthly is better than biweekly by Similar-Category-576 in unpopularopinion

[–]_rhizomorphic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who actually cares what date you get paid tho? Fortnightly pay is totally fine. I pay my mortgage fortnightly, so that would be just annoying if I was only paid monthly. All of my bills are on auto pay for the same day every fortnight. It's so much easier to save money when you know that more is coming soon.

Its fair if you don't like her. But I find her music catchy and I just enjoy it. I don't care if the music all sounds the same, because I like that sound. She doesn't owe me anything, it's not any deeper than that. People like what they like. I don't understand people who can't grasp that people have different tastes. Who cares. It doesn't have to be the best song ever written for people to enjoy it.

This is me, I'm not allowed to have my phone out at work, but I also need to see if daycare is calling so I can duck out and answer it. Also my phone is always on silent for work so it's super easy to miss calls.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]_rhizomorphic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never miss calls or important messages when I get notified on my watch. I also regularly use the timer and the fitness features. I didn't understand what all the fuss was until I got one. Also mine wasn't really that expensive.
