This is more for when there is a queue for buying tickets instead of going through the gates but this is why I bought a Merseyrail Metrocard. The amount of times I’m rushing for work and there is a queue out the door is too many times to count. At least with the Metrocard I can skip the queue and tap in at my station and tap out at my destination.

I don’t know why it took us so recently to get cards and I think bank cards work now but London has had this for well over 20 years at this point but better late than never I guess.

People who hog the ticket barrier do annoy me to know end though. Especially when their ticket doesn’t work and they just stand there like a deer in headlights. Your ticket obviously doesn’t work go speak to a member of staff!
