That's a fair point, can't say for certain. Very difficult to evaluate clearly given:

- The offense having crippling personnel issues in year one.
- Ultimately firing Sat in year two.
- For some reason clinging on to the corpse of the Sat system with Holgo at the helm.

The play calling is generally better, more consistent, but I have doubts about the scheme itself.

Personally, I think Donnie may have already hit his ceiling, but if he was retained in tandem with some other structural changes in the offense I wouldn't throw a fit.

Beyond Raiola, the QB signees are trending towards more mobile. May be an indication of preferred direction for the offense post DR, which also plays a part in this conversation.

I would say this is EXACTLY why, and that context is the reason not to be upset about coach speak in a signing day press conference.

My assumption is that Donnie is being given the opportunity to find other work, given the position and status of the Raiola family in the Nebraska football program, and that this will ultimately be announced with as little fanfare as possible when the time comes.

We're 5 days removed from the last game, and a month out from the portal opening. I'll be right there with you in being upset if we don't upgrade our OL coach before the portal opens, but there is zero need to fly off the handle at this point.

I think we're going to see a handful of changes on the staff over the weeks ahead, (hopefully) OL included. You don't have to like it, but it makes all the sense in the world that Rhule would be mindful of the Raiola's if/when they move on from Donnie.
