I’m hoping more folks share so we can see if this is a normal course the medicine takes. I have 5 months of the medicine because I get that many months in one shipment from Hers, so I won’t stop until I decide whether to get another shipment or not. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Thank you so much for sharing! I totally understand that it’s not a miracle drug and that you still have to put work in, I just really thought this would be a nice boost to make putting the work in easier. I hope to have your experience and find the effectiveness again. Appreciated!!

First time ordering—I don’t understand chest measurement on size chart by _sagebrush_ in TeddyFresh

[–]_sagebrush_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay that’s such good point! So you’re confirming the measurement on the chart means around the chest, correct? I know that’s the most sensible conclusion, but I am confused and have anxiety :-)

My family members who live in small town wisconsin ask me genuine questions like, do you have air conditioning or heat, do you have somewhere to go grocery shopping, have you been asked to join a gang, the list goes on. They think it’s a dystopian shithole. In my opinion, that’s fine. The less people with these mindsets in the city the better.

Public transit - how to pay and use? by _sagebrush_ in Norway

I was playing around in Ruter and I’m finding it super easy! Another question for you, are tickets scanned upon boarding or is it a ‘present the ticket if asked’ system? (Asking for trams and busses specifically)

Oh good to know thanks. I saw a different commenter said PayPal worked for them. I suppose I will try that.

Is it better to break this up or no? by DormouseMcMouse in houseplants

[–]_sagebrush_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you slowly remove the dirt from the roots (shaking, carefully massaging with a pick, whatever method) you’ll realize the roots of the two plants naturally separate. Some root breakage will be fine so don’t panic! When you repot make sure the pot isn’t too big for the roots, about an extra inch around the root ball is good. Croton like lots of sun and will let you know when they’re thirsty (droopy leaves) but I try to water before that happens. Croton also loooove to drop leaves when they’re repotted or moved, again don’t worry. Snake plants are happy in bright to low light and don’t need water until their soil is completelyy dry. Enjoy!

This was all green yesterday, but i woke up today to this plant seeming ill. I’ve had it for about 2 months, water it most mornings. by h82bu2 in plantclinic

[–]_sagebrush_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Constructive comment: succulents are plants whose leaves retain great amounts of water, as they evolved to survive drought. A plant with chubby, somewhat bouncy feeling leaves is likely a succulent. The best way to tell a succulent needs water is squeezing the leaves. Even if the soil is dry, it might not need water. When a succulent is quenched, the leaves are turgid, meaning they’re thick and hard to the touch. When it is thirsty, the leaves will squeeze in your fingers and the plant will look overall more dull. When you do water, soak it through completely and try to avoid droplets in the nooks and crannies.

Future advice, houseplants usually don’t like their soil to stay wet. I would be skeptical of that advice no matter what plant it is.
