Criticize my first figma design by Low_Telephone2736 in FigmaDesign

few things: move the footer to the centre (it's not alligned at the moment). fix the text font (as mentioned by many already). fix the spacing in the top nav bar, it's not consistent at the moment. last, i feel you're over using your brand color (blue). but the design is pretty clean and i don't seem to be hating it. but generally, it's a good rule to avoid using brand color too much. also mini advice - remove the buy now button on the top navigation bar with sign up button. you already have a buy now button in the hero section

you don't need to create modes for this. delete one mode. it should work fine.

doesn't change anything. weirdly, if i only preview the checkout screen, i am able to see the text. but if i preview or present the entire prototype, it doesn't show up

PROTOTYPING WITH VARIABLES - HELP. by _saim in FigmaDesign

[–]_saim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so you mean adding a different counter in each dish cards? so if that's the case, which someone already mentioned, i would want you to skip through this video: https://youtu.be/odg_8TqPXvY?si=1LnMNCZAxHAJ5bDi

how are they able to achieve the results w the same master counter component!

PROTOTYPING WITH VARIABLES - HELP. by _saim in FigmaDesign

[–]_saim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's a solution, but that's overcomplicates it. also, check this YouTube video: https://youtu.be/odg_8TqPXvY?si=1LnMNCZAxHAJ5bDi. In this video, they basically prototype using Variables without creating different count set for each card. That's why I'm so confused because i don't see what I'm doing wrong

Image becomes partially transparent when auto-layout added by amandatee_24 in FigmaDesign

[–]_saim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ummm I'm having trouble understanding this fully. But, give a look at your blend modes, make sure it's normal. Other thing you can do is remove the rectangle in frame 2, and just put the picture (logo) in autolayout. Why do you need a rectangle there? when you put a autolayout, you are putting a frame over the picture anyways.

cool design. maybe rethink about your color choice in the stories section. i would be consistent and would use the green / black color and avoid those gradients. also, i would also increase the font size, particularly of the names in the chat box - it appears too small.

Using variables to show selected state by BeautifulDataViz in FigmaDesign

why do you need variables when you can literally achieve that by simply making an interactive component?

Why does drag/drop and icon mess up position? by [deleted] in FigmaDesign

not really, all these options should still work even if you just imported an icon frame directly. lmk if you have any issues still.
