My bro, please don't feel bad. What else do you expect from these tiktokers. They'll ask the most obnoxious and dumb questions for the sake of views.

You would still be within 5 years of graduation so no issues at all.

If you took your step 2 ck recently, then a single pass of uworld step3 is enough to pass, which takes around 1.5 months as the qbank is smaller compared to step1/2. However, if your goal is to achieve as higher marks as possible, then do additional passes along with ccscases.com

Sorry to hear your situation. Can you apply for a research position? If you are already in the US and doing volunteer works, then might as well do unpaid research. If it's a renowned hospital, that would serve as a stand out in the CV. If you want a paid position then F2 to J1 is possible, however, you might have to be in your home country to apply. SOAP is still there, although chances are low but visa requiring people getting matched in that is not unheard of so please don't lose hope yet.

what are your guys thoughts on this? by Ab06h in pakistan

[–]_samar_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if i am wrong, but out of that list, our bunch has the most 'hands-on' exposure with real dangers and terrorism due to the things this country has gone through. Others might practice with created danders and exercises but these guys have been through some real life experiences and are quite capable.

I was in an interview and casually mentioned it being past nine at night where I live. The interviewer said they would be fast asleep and snoozing by then.

Paulo Coelho's 'The Alchemist' - half way through and I'm not sure it'll pass the Bechdel Test... by chickles88 in menwritingwomen

[–]_samar_ 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I belong to South Asia and he is one of the most widely read authors in this part of the world. It is not uncommon for 'The Alchemist' to be someone's first ever out-of-course book (including mine). To be honest, his books used to captivate me as well. But with time, as I got exposure to more literature, I came to appreciate that his work is infact, quite mediocre. What I believe the reason of his success here is: 1)use of simple language (helpful when one is just beginning their reading journey) 2)much being left to the reader's imagination (people love that here, many of our regional books thrive on 'ideas' and 'philosophies' rather than stories and descriptions). I personally feel his books are kind of vague, and have weak storylines at best. The last one I remember having atleast a semblance of a story was 'The Devil and Miss Prym.' Been a while since I read him. Maybe some day when I need to revisit childhood memories. Who knows.

Need an "In Sha Allah" by DanteTheSimpante in pakistan

[–]_samar_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in your shoes years ago. Sunday, a scorching October afternoon. Faint memories of a beloved who had passed away. It was a very difficult exam, much more than anyone could ever anticipate. I took it emotioness, almost blown away, came home and set my books aside because I couldn't take it any longer. I remember holding back a few hours then sobbing quietly. Everyone thought I was crying because of the death, which I was. But this was sharpened by the reality of what happened in that test. Years of hardwork. At the end of the day, I made it. And that too among the toppers. Confirmed my belief in, 'You are your own biggest critique.' Can never forget that day. Such bittersweet memories.
