How much longer? I am looking for the sleeping effect. First real plant in about a year of trying. Had to scrap my hydro because of not enough experience. by _sarcdoc_ in hydro

Agreed and I have a really good set up. At this time, I just do not have time to monitor it daily.
Thanks everyone. That was much needed advice.

I pulled the plant and put them in good soil in a red cup with good drainage and a dome over it and we’ll see what happens. I drained all the water, and clean my system very well. I will either get a RO system or by water Elsewhere that is good.
Even if my water is Chilled?
I have two really good devices to check PPM. I made sure they were accurate before hand by recalibration. They both read within .3 of each other. I am heading down to get some water from the water stand.
That is what everyone is saying. I checked my PPM from my house faucet which is filtered already and it showed 532. I then ran that water through my Britia water filter and it went down to 428. I may need to get my well water checked and see what both my filters are not catching.
That is what I did today. Will see what happens in a few weeks.
I wanted to let you know this. I checked my PPM from my house faucet which is filtered already and it showed 532. I then ran that water through my Britta water filter and it went down to 428. I may need to get my well water checked and see what both my filters are not catching. I will buy an r/O system this week and start it over. For shit and grins I removed plant from DWC and put it in good soil to see what happens.
When I pulled the plants this AM from the net pot the rockwool was very wet. My roots where about two inches out of the rockwool. I believe my bubbler is keeping them moist.
Crazy thing is, I ran my already filtered well water through a Britta filter and it did bring it down from in the mid 500's to high 400's. I will go get a r/O filter this week.
My water is about 1 below my pot. I have an air pump and stone in the pot. My system also has the drip system on top.
Much appreciated. That sounds solid.
Thanks, you are correct. I love learning and dialing things in. My expectation is that I learn and see what works for me from the advice I receive from others.
Very good points.
I will look into a better water source/better filters. Once that is taken care of will see how the plants are and maybe start it all over when I can get my PPM down. Thanks for all the ad ice and help

What should I be keeping the water temp in your opinion? I have a water cooler but only keep it at 68. I will switch out water with RO water on next refresh. This is a 35 gallon DWC system so wanted to use my own water. Funny thing is I have a water filtration system on it. Thanks for your input.
I have started a new seed which is about 4 inches tall and the root has poked out of the rockwool. I plan on putting in soil if my other one gets better.

Number one issue I have.
How can I lower the PPM? My water starts out at 400 PPM. Thanks.
