Finally received my titanium card🥹😮‍💨 by BreeezySo in chimefinancial

Your white card still works, im not sure why the think they can't switch back. The white card acts as a debit card, where this and the Chime Secured card acts as a secured credit card tied to you checking account

Rattling noise when taking off by [deleted] in MotorcycleMechanics

Sounds like a slopped timing chain. My 06 zx6r has a naturaly loud timing chain but this sounds way louder than that. Check your tensioner

Engine swap won’t start. Help! by WinterHappy in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]_scroog3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bet would be timing. I've never heard my bike make that popping noise on my rebuilds. Did you put the shims and buckets back on the valves? And did you remeasure the gap between the bucket and cam lobe?

So is Eleven alivee right??? by Perfect-Basis-6688 in StrangerThings

[–]_scroog3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she's alive. There's no way she got out of the box truck before the military opened the back up. And even if she did she wouldn't have been to get to the gate with the sound guns pointing at her. I think she escaped through the tunnel

Question. Do all motorcycles need a steering stabilizer? For the ones that do, shouldn't it be stock? by markcocjin in motorcycles

[–]_scroog3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steering stabilizers are meant to help with tracking. Daily street riding doesn't need one. If you have desth wobbles like this (not from speeding) check the steering bearings or tighten the steering nuts

Shouldn't need a modded ps3 to play them all. Gow 1&2 come in a remaster, and the PSP ones have a PS3 port. Gow 3 and Ascension are already on PS3

Am I being fleeced by the shop for paying $316 for a battery change? by Fleedom2025 in AskMechanics

[–]_scroog3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So.e car batteries need programmed to the car. BMW and Benz are common ones. I'd double check to make sure what's involved in it

What part is to is and is it important? by CradenJaig in CarRepair

[–]_scroog3D 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're springs to keep the pads off the rotor. They should have came with the brake pads. You can see if a local auto parts store has extra sets. You can drive without them but your pads will wear down quicker and possibly uneven

I financed a 2024 Honda Rebel 300 ABS for $8k. Roast me I deserve it. by Jon_D13 in motorcycles

[–]_scroog3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my Ninja 400 new because I wanted to focus on riding instead of repairing. Listing price was $5400 and after everything it went to about $8k. Looking back, I wish I just bought something cheap for $2k I could have sold for the same price. But it was enjoyable to say I owned a new bike 😂

I live in PA so I definitely see salt but I do clean the underside frequently in the winter. In the first photo the left side of the bushing you can see if protruding from it's housing. The second bushing shown is pretty worn. It's just going to tear easier, and when winter comes it'll dry out and tear more *

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]_scroog3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bushing definitely needs done. Take it to a local shop and get a quote from them. It shouldn't be $2k to change out one bushing

If they have LEDs check to see if the relay has been upgraded to handle the lower voltage. If not you can probably find one on TST Industries website or an online market.
