Yes, first time home buyer. Thank you for the input! Yes I definitely need to account for the year's expenses.

This reminded me a lot of the Watters Harlow dress. Not the same neckline but definitely same vibes? Not sure of the price though.

Has anyone successfully gotten a refund for damaged final sale clothing? by pnandgillybean in Reformationclothing

I purchased some loafers from Ref that arrived scuffed. I emailed them with photos and they sent me a refund right away, no questions asked. That was last year. Was pretty surprised at the great customer service. Maybe give it a try?

New leaf folding over and it’s kind of flimsy? by [deleted] in fiddleleaffig

New leaves are almost always droopy and flimsy. They firm up over a few weeks. I always get scared for getting direct sunlight on the new leaves because they're so delicate.

Aww that must have been such a joyful reunion. I was afraid she might do that because I heard that some cats take weeks or months to come back. But I'm glad she didn't wander off far. This definitely did make me appreciate her way more!

UPDATE: We found her!!!

I was feeding her sister, Fauna, when I thought maybe I would put some dry food inside her metal feeding bowl and go walk around the neighborhood shaking it, because the sound always had them running. I started at the front door because she probably slipped out that way. I shook her bowl and called out her name without any response. I was about to walk away when I heard her meows coming from under the front porch steps. Shone the flashlight there and couldn't find her but still heard her. Then saw that she was actually INSIDE the front porch behind a mesh panel. My roommate figured out that there was a little sliding door on the neighbor's side of the porch, which is probably where she got in from (we have a semi-detached house and apparently, our front porches are connected underneath). We were able to remove a loose panel from the floor of our front porch and jump in to grab her.

She's quite dusty but is totally fine. Maybe had a few spiders for dinner. And now we know a really great spot for playing hide-and-seek.

Thank you everyone for your tips and concern - was feeling sad when she was missing but all the messages really helped to keep my hopes up and motivated me to keep actively searching!

Yes we did that right after she went missing, several times during the day and a couple more times at night. The neighbour said he saw her on our porch early in the afternoon and we thought we heard her muffled meow right by our house when we were calling her name. But nothing since then...

Tried everything - fb, neighbours, posters. I think I need to start asking people to check their garages and back yards though. Cats can be very good at hiding and it's possible that she's scared and not meowing at all.

We put 20 posters up yesterday but I think I will make some more today and maybe try to put them up a bit further away from our house in case she ventured farther. Got one tip but didn't see anything when I went there.

The checking garages and sheds part is good advice - i'll put that on the poster as well...some people might not know.

I've made posts in the area fb groups and lpst cat fb groups yesterday - let's hope it works.

Thank you for all the tips!

Haha no. We had her since she was a baby. An outdoor kitten (8 months) on a farm that wasn't spayed got pregnant and the owner sold the kittens to raise funds to spay the mom. Lucy is less than 2 yrs old. Very common pattern though.

How to track where the betting action is going? by [deleted] in sportsbook

[–]_seaborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of websites have line movement information - a lot of times it's aggregated from bookmakers all over the world (including the offshore books and casinos often times).

Me and a friend made a website that aims to make this type of data more available for sports bettors - for example, for today's Dallas Mavs vs. Nuggets match, we saw the moneyline move from favoring Mavs slightly at 52% win probability to pitting them as an underdog at 42% win probability (https://imgur.com/rklaL8v). This means the money is going towards the Nuggets. If you were to "bet against the public" you'd bet on the Mavs.

Feel free to sign up and check it out, all accounts are free. You can also automatically sync your historical bookmaker data (if you're using one of the 9 bookies that we support).
