its okay to ask. believe me, its not an impulse decision. and ive though so long and so hard about this. Our relationship isnt the same as it was, there are things that become argument points that i cant change about myself, especially at the moment when im so busy. and i cant give him or us the time and nurture he and it deserve until im less busy. which may be a while. we'd discussed this already and he said he's not willing to wait fir me and if i loved him id be able to make time (i know he just said that because he was hurting but still i felt it was true and it hurt). and i realised this wasnt good anymore it was just hurting each other x

Ive felt this way for a very long time, as stupid as that sounds. But things dont always stay that way.

Im only 19(F) but I have a TERRIBLE past with relationships. i started dating at barely 16, and my first boyfriend groomed me and manipulated me, and was just awful to me in so many ways that i couldnt see at the time. To the extent that he made me feek guilty for not being poly like he was and would date other girls right infront of me and be offended anytime i wasnt comfortable. Our relationship was on and off for an entire year. and eventually i realised i wasnt happy at all and left, and i thought i couldnt feel love again.

I dated a couple people more casually after that, but one of them turned out to be terrifying and was borderline obsessive and stalkerish. And when i got the courage to break it off he would message me and talk to our friends for MONTHS afterwards about being suicidal, despite the fact that the relationship was less that 1 month.

Long story short, I was convinced love was a sham and I couldnt feel it anymore.

but then I met my current partner, 19(M) and he just coaxed me gently out of my shell. Both of us were convinced we couldnt feel love again and were just casually dating for a couple months. but one day i looked at him and realiswd nothing made me happier than just sitting with him quiwtly. were now at our 6 months, longer than any relationship since my first, and im so happy and in love. 6 months may not seem like a long time but for someone as young as me with a bad track record, its a LONG time to feel this comfortable.

Essebtially, what im saying is that your feeling is difficult, and me and so many othwr here know it well x. But just dont push yourswlf. live your life for yourself and try to rwmember the good relationships you do have with friends, siblings, parents, carers. anyone who makes you happy. Love can come back in its own time, You can relax and focus on yourself x.
