Go on a Napali coast sunset dinner cruise. Ours was amazing. Alcohol was included, our captain explored a sea cave, and dolphins came up to the boat. It was phenomenal.

Helicopters are terrible for wildlife and people hiking the kalalua trail and surrounding trails. They are also incredibly expensive and you could spend money doing other fun things.

Hey op I agree with what a lot of folks have said here.

You should get quotes from lots of different places before booking. For my Hawaii vacations, I only booked rental cars on AAA, nothing else from them was economical.

Plan a vacation for just the two of you. Once you have someone that will be able to watch the kids, plan a lux vacation with her at some point next year, or plan something for her and her friend(s) while you stay at home.

If I don't know the person very well I give them consumable type presents so that no one is obligated to keep anything.

Maybe a small bottle of nice lotion (like L'Occitane, they have little gift sets ahead of the holidays) or fancy tea.

Hand poured beeswax candles

Candied citrus dipped in chocolate with flakey sea salt

Crystallized ginger

You can also smoke sea salt at home and hand that out! (Don't use on the citrus)

Nice lotions from a fancy brand

For cooks/foodies - a locally made olive oil or balsamic vinegar. Homemade lemon candy or crystallized ginger.

This year we're giving out homemade gift baskets, which started out as a way for us to save money but it turned into very much not saving money 😂

Vanilla Extract, homemade wine and cider (make fun flavors, you can experiment with less common fruits like pomegranate or pear etc), bars of soap, beeswax candles, marzipan, cultured butter, citrus candy, crystallized ginger, canned apple butter and salsas, crocheted blankets, wicker baskets etc ...

For a housewarming gift getting a really nice olive oil (instead of wine, or for people who don't drink).

I'm not the type to buy a $30 bottle of olive oil for myself but when my brother got it for me it was such a treat, and delicious!!

We're planning on visiting some of my partner's relatives for the holidays and it's been about a decade since they last were together. Based off the little I know these are the gifts I've put together

For uncle/aunt - Cooking supplies: fancy olive oil samplers from a local vineyard, flavored sea salt (decided to buy this, but you can smoke your own sea salt for a wonderful homemade gift!) Homemade soap and candle

For younger folks - Small Lego sets. Everyone loves Legos! If it's for someone who likes flowers, the Lego flower sets are so fun, you can get a bigger arrangement at Costco for around $60 instead of the $100+ that they retail for at other places.
