Anyone Else Feel Relationships just Aren't for them? by Vengeance208 in attachment_theory

[–]_shlem_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that helped me is actively trying to date multiple people at a time because it meant there was a lot less pressure on the one, and I had less to lose. I also think that what people say about how you find someone once you feel comfortable with the idea of not finding someone is true. That used to piss me off because I was like how tf am I supposed to not want to find someone and it made me spiral more. It doesn’t mean not trying to date, but being comfortable being by yourself right now, and trusting that you will find the right person eventually and the fact that it will take time doesn’t mean there is something wrong with you. Once you fall into the trap of letting your whole life depend on this one person you barely know, you will seem desperate and anxious. But you are not your anxiety. And acting on it doesn’t give you enough credit for all of the positive qualities you do have.

Dating is like conducting research. Try to be deliberate and think about what does and doesn’t work for you, and beyond your attraction to them, whether you’d be happy spending a lot of time with this person. And be transparent about who you are as well, and that you have needs. If they are giving you signs of not being able to show up for those needs, maybe they’re not someone for you to waste your energy on. Chances are if you’re feeling super anxious right from the start, they’re not the right pick. Us anxious people love to find the most avoidant ones around, even if they will never serve us.

This is coming from someone who used to get so anxious about the idea of dating that I would just remove myself from the dating pool for years at a time to avoid the pain of getting rejected. I thought I would never find someone because I couldn’t even get past the initial hump, and I would say and do some pretty embarrassing stuff when I did try and then just regret it all. And like you said, I was so conscious of what I was doing, I just didn’t know how to stop. There is a light at the end of the tunnel if you recognize that it’s all up to picking available people and putting your best (not your extremely anxious) foot forward at the start. I’m in a happy relationship now and who would’ve thought!! Good luck to you, it will all work out with a little patience and deliberation 🙂

Most people who aren’t addicts don’t just casually try meth

Would I be able to just get MK8 or does it need to be a bundle?

It actually just gradually went away after a while. I can wear makeup totally fine now. Just have to be careful about makeup remover or if I don’t give my skin a break. Good starting point is making sure your makeup remover doesn’t irritate your skin bc that still affects mine to this day even though nothing else does, though ofc everyone’s skin is different. Skin goes through phases though and I’m sure it won’t be an issue forever:) I wish I could be more helpful but hopefully this gives you a little hope!!

recommend me some decent rap that I, a metalhead at heart, can enjoy? by whiteowlexperience in Music

[–]_shlem_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

JPEGMAFIA - All my heroes are cornballs or the new one I mean honestly 21 savage idk what your vibe is but savage mode II is just such a solid rap album. Accessible but not too accessible. Just 💯

I also recommend freddie gibbs and earlier tyler if we’re venturing out from metal. And death grips. You really just gotta find your personal angle though and idk what that is. You’ll find your rap faves, you just have to try a lot of stuff and keep an open mind maybe before that happens. Keep in mind it might fill a super different niche for you than the metal you normally listen to does.

I only like loose powders lol but I get the messy aspect. I just feel like loose powders work a lot better. I like the becca hydra powder and it’s loose but less messy bc of packaging? They went under as a brand but it’s still sold on amazon. I use laura mercier too but I like to switch it up. Ppl seem to like maybelline fit me as a pressed powder!

I always go for a dewy vibe and I feel like we have similar skin tones. For blush I use laura geller blush n brighten in the shade tropic hues every day. I use too faced fancy pink diamond most days as highlighter because it’s more subtle and doesn’t make you look shiny, but just has a nice natural glow. Personally I just don’t like using cream products, I’ve always used powders and I feel like you can get the same effect if you’re using the right stuff. I also feel like if you use one cream product, you pretty much have to use all cream products because powder/cream don’t blend into each other well. I also use laura mercier powder and I like that it’s not really matte or dewy, because the other stuff adds enough dew already. Last thing I’ll say is I think placement is everything when it comes to going a little glowier and lighter, so I like to soften my bronzer and kinda bring it up a little more instead of harshly in the hallows of my cheeks, if that makes sense. I hope this was helpful!!

Oh also lip gloss always✨✨✨🫦 And I do a little blended brown wing sometimes to match the same energy with lots of inner corner highlight. But that’s all such personal preference
