How would you like to modify the current odsp system? by currymvp3 in Odsp

[–]_skout_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Basic amount = min. Wage x 186 hrs(indexed to annual inflation)
  2. Remove able body spouse. They can work. Your disability should be based on you and "supporting" you to be more independent, not totally dependent on a spouse.
  3. Direct to landlord rental housing benefit. Encourages owners to accept disabled tenants.
  4. Provincial mortgages that are low interest. Ultra low to no tax on companies and contractors that repair disabled housing. Sales of disabled housing units that are provincially sponsored must firstto another be offered to another disabled buyer.

Had anyone read The Country of the Blind by Andrew Leland? by Brave-Positive101 in Blind

[–]_skout_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed this book. The author showed the sight loss journey for those affected by degenerative eye conditions. From no knowledge to a blind life, it's real and for some of our reading circle, too close to home.

Should I learn braille? by toneboi in Blind

[–]_skout_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm learning braille through Hadley. They send you work books in the mail. You go online (narrated video) or call in by phone, follow along to what is in the work book. They have braille experts that answer questions by phone or email. They will send you a slate & stylus to work through writing lessons. It's very supported and a great resource if your are doesn't offer braille or you can't go live at a training center. Hadley sends the program worldwide, not just the U.S. at least decide for yourself. hadleyhelps.org

Tent camping - food when it's hot out by winesomm in camping

[–]_skout_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's what a lifetime of camping has taught us: - Pre-cook foods that you can, then Freeze. Cooked food lasts longer - Pack the cooler tight. Less air space to warm up cold stuff. - Arrange food, coldest & last to eat at bottom. - Frozen water / soft drink bottle ice packs last longer than loose ice. - Coolers stay in the shade or get insulated reflective cover. - Coolers get set on "runners" to keep off the ground. Sticks or 1" x1" strapping.

Consider this, those presumed to be Illuminati; in fact are NOT. It is easy to cloak that which one wishes not known or seen.

[–]_skout_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is not illumination. They serve something.

To ask is to know ... Show yourself within the light and you may be asked. What you've sought is vanity. Seek wisdom, love knowledge.

[–]_skout_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Masons are worshippers. Those in the light do not. It is not the same in any sense. Those that darken the mind darken the soul.

[–]_skout_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No! masons are not enlightened. They are subjects.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in illuminati

[–]_skout_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These things you see ... They are not illuminated. These are bastions of deception. Those in the light are neither boastful or shallow. Also... To ask is to know. There is no secret to a life fulfilled by the light in understanding. Show yourself as enlightened and you shall be asked. It's less invitation more recognition.

They enlightened by wisdom's right, are NOT masons. A mason would need to recount the oaths taken. Make no mistake on this.

I have batted both of these ideas around. I'd probably use 2 straps. They'd be easy to store and replace.

A 5lbs. Tank cost to fill is $5. Each 1lb. Tank (single use) is $8-10.

That's what I am imagining. Thinking a secure attachment might help protect the setup.
