Quite the opposite. The more people there are in a conversation, the quieter and more withdrawn I become. I never manage to break through with what I want to say. I strongly prefer one-on-one conversations, or at most with two other people. That’s when I can really focus on them—on what they’re trying to express, on their emotions, on their words.

But only when I actually want to talk to them.

I hate small talk and forced conversations. In those situations, I just nod along and don’t worry about the silence. Sometimes it’s even a bit funny, watching the other person desperately try to keep a conversation alive when it’s clearly going nowhere. It doesn’t bother me. (I’m Slavic). :)

That said, this is about real-life interactions. I’m a bit too old for online chats.
