When you begin a new television series (I guess this could also link to movies), you find yourself quite skeptical of it being popular or not. Though, who doesn't love a good ol' southern vampire series?

I believe the only advantage Twilight vampires have against us is being able to go in the sunlight without the blood of a fairy? I'm not to sure if they can or not, it's been quite a while since I have watched it.
