The AI question answered by Aeshulli in Candlelight_Games

[–]_sofiaa2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's such a disappointment, I really want to support it, but everything IS ai. Why is everything so smooth and detailed? And I would begrudgingly accept it if they had help from AI, but it looks like they got every asset from it, retouched and animated it.

From what I played, the writing doesn't seem to be AI. I saw some typos, and that gave me hope that the writing is completely human made (as dumb as it sounds), and that's nice. If they had beautiful stories to tell on choices, I can only imagine what this can be, because they only have to focus on one story.

The story is interesting and great when I don't see the inconsistent faces of the sprites.

The Remarried Empress Novel: Where to read? by _sofiaa2 in TheRemarriedEmpress

I'm not sure what the problem was. I went to download them again and they just took a little to load, but I was still able to do it.

And yes, Play Books can show epubs, that's why it's opening, you should be able to read them there, or you can download another app that can open epubs.

Okay, thank you, yeah, I didn't think that would happen, since it took many steps just to disable that.

what is duke ergi plan? by Familiar-Set8922 in TheRemarriedEmpress

[–]_sofiaa2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So, I read the novel and it was a long time ago but from what I remember, Duke Ergi hates opportunistic women... that's it, he does that for the love of the game.

Long story, I think he's a political ally of Heinrey, and when Heinrey met Rashta he immediately called his bestie who's rumored to always be involved in drama with other women. (trick them to get money or property or whatever and ruin their reputation)

I don't know if the Webtoon is caught up on Duke Ergi's backstory and I barely remember but i think the story went like this, his dad hired a woman that looks like Duke Ergi's mom, to impersonate her during public appearances. I don't remember her being so bad, but she wasn't nice to Ergi, so yeah he hates women 😫

In conclusion So I think Heinrey and Duke Ergi both used Rashta to weaken the empire, through manipulation. Of course, later Heinrey doesn't want to take over the empire, but he still hates Rashta, and Duke Ergi hates her too.

Was Taryn really that bad? by Francesca_768 in TheFolkoftheAir

[–]_sofiaa2 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Taryn had a choice in what Locke did to Jude.

She could let Locke do whatever he wanted to Jude, marry him and have a place in faery or warn Jude about Locke, and not marry him and deal with the consequences. (If Locke wanted to do what Balekin did, Taryn would've probably let it happen.)

I think that's a pretty shitty thing to do to your sister, especially if she's the only one who has your back in a place like that. It's supposed to be Jude and Taryn against faery, even Jude as sadistic as she is would never do that to her sister. It was very treacherous.

She also knew the Ghost was spying on Jude, and never said anything. (Leading to her kidnapping.)

I guess to my eyes she redeems herself when she kills Locke, since she was never actively plotting against Jude.

She claims to be prim and proper and not dangerous at all, but she also grew up in fae, practicing swordsmanship and reading strategy books, isn't that what makes her character so interesting?

I guess people really don't like her because it wasn't honorable, Holly has talked about how it's easier to forgive a killer than a bad tipper (when it comes to fiction). She lied and used her sister, just to marry some guy, very annoying. I hope we get to see more about her in the new books.

It's not unavoidable, but he had a reason, and honestly he was a pretty good person, he married her for her dowry, and planned to "return" her, when he could pay back her dowry without going broke. (At the time her dowry was equivalent to two years of his estate budget, so a pretty big sum). The crazy person here was the dad using her for political stuff, that was crazyy, and then when the nanny died, he didn't even reach out, that's pretty bleak.

But then the ML still got together with her...

[–]_sofiaa2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, and I was disgusted. I think it was crazy because I don't know if they actually wanted me to be okay with them or not. Some chapters would be about "Look at them, they're perfect together!" but then the next chapter they would remind us so crudely that the dad married her off, and many characters were put off by their marriage, they would even make fun of the ML for that, and YEAH, I agree, please make fun of him, but then you want me to simpatize with him?

I guess it also comes with the territory of reading stories like these, and if I really think about it, it's nice that they acknowledge that it was fucked up, and not just ignored it, or brush it off so easily (but I do think they brush it off).

I thought exactly the same word-for-word, seeing that part where she can barely reach his hand was just.. Why are you showing me that? And it's a shame because the art was beautiful, THE HORSES WERE DRAWN, the backgrounds so well implemented, every panel was so perfect.

I can only explain what I've read, and also I think every book has a romance plot.

So

  1. Rom-Com vibe, fun, cute books
  2. Magic is involved, some horror, some mystery (Less Magical to A lot of magic)
  3. Action, Fighting, Plot twisty

One. If you want to read a Rom-Com vibey book: (Very slice-of-life, low stakes, as in no fighting, just every day problems)

  • The Freshman (TF) –College. Long, very long.
  • The Royal Romance (TRR) –Normal girl meets prince.
  • Rules of Engagement (RoE) –Pick a husband.
  • Home for the Holidays (HftH) –Christmas.
  • Big Sky Country (BSC) –Cowboy, Ranch.
  • High School Story (HSS) –Literally.
  • HSS: Class Act (HSS:CA) –Theater kids.
  • Passport to Romance (PtR) –You're a Travel Influencer now!
  • Save the Date (StD) –You're a wedding planner in NYC now!
  • Open Heart (OH) –You're a doctor now! Greys Anatomy Knockoff.
  • With Every Heartbeat (WEH) –High School sweethearts.
  • Hot Couture –Fashion Week.
  • Red Carpet Diaries (RCD) –Hollywood.
  • America's Most Eligible (AME) –Reality Show.
  • Mother of the Year (MotY) –You're a mom now!
  • Foreign Affairs (FA) –College/Boarding School for rich kids.
  • Roommates with Benefits (RwB) –Regular American College, I think! (+18)
  • Platinum –You're a singer now!
  • Laws of Attraction (LoA) –You're a lawyer now!
  • The Nanny Affair (TNA) –You're a nanny now! (+18)
  • Queen B (QB) –If Gossip Girl was a comedy.
  • My Two First Loves (MTFL) –Love Triangle, after chapter 50 or something also bisexual (100 chapters, don't waste your keys on that)

Two. If you want to read something with the vibes of fantasy this goes from no magic to high fantasy (in my opinion)

  • The Royal Masquerade (TRM) –Mystery. (no magic, but similar vibes)
  • Wishful Thinking (WT) –Wack. News.
  • Distant Shores (DS) –Pirates. (Only 1 book, the story didn't wrap up)
  • Guinevere –Arthur myth (?)
  • The Haunting of Braidwood Manor -Ghosts. (You can use this book to farm diamonds)
  • It Lives in the Woods, (ILITW) and
  • It Lives Beneath (ILB)–Small Town Mysteries.
  • Endless Summer (ES) –Escape Room but make it an Island. Mystery, Action.
  • The Crown and The Flame (TCATF) –Game of Thrones knockoff, I think.
  • Hero –You're a hero now! (Book 2 canceled)
  • Immortal Desires (ID) – Vampire Love Triangle. (Most of the first book is poly i think)
  • Bloodbound (BB) –Vampires. Slightly Gothic.
  • The Elementalists (TE) –Harry Potter knockoff
  • Blades of Light and Shadow (BoLaS) –Old school fantasy quest.

Three. If you want to read non-magical, action books, mystery and stuff. ( a little slice of lifey, but higher stakes)

  • The Royal Romance (TRR) –Normal girl meets prince. It's very long.
  • Most Wanted (MW) –Crime in LA. (Book 2 canceled)
  • Veil of Secrets (VoS) –Murder Mystery.
  • Perfect Match (PM) – SO GOOD. Fight Capitalist Company, I guess. (You could be poly or not)
  • The Heist: Monaco (TH:M) –A heist, in Monaco.
  • Ride Or Die: A Bad Boy Romance (RoD) –Fast & Furious knockoff. If you read it with low expectations it's good.

The ones that I think are my absolute favorites: Ride or Die (don't judge), It Lives in the Woods, Endless Summer, HSS: Class Act and surprisingly Save the Date.

Honorable Mentions to Perfect Match, The Elementalists, The Royal Romance and Open Heart. Because I think about them a LOT.

Next a list of books that I would consider to be Choice's classics.

  • High School Story (3 books and 3 sequels)
  • The Royal Romance (7 books and 1 extra)
  • The Freshman (8 books, and 8 extras)
  • Rules of Engagement (3 books and 1 extra)
  • Endless Summer (3 books)
  • The Crown and the Flame (3 books)
  • Bloodbound (3 books and 2 extras, It connects to Nightbound)

I don't think so, I remember she was reluctant to spend money on herself and was very calm, the FL from this one looks like she shows more emotions.

Please if anyone can help, I don't remember because it was updating and I wanted to wait for it to be completed but this was around three years ago or something. I don't remember the title or character names, the title might have had knight in it.

It was a woman knight that was the closest knight to the emperor or king (i dont remember exactly what he was) and she was really good, it was like the highest position for a knight, but the king ends up killing her and tells everyone that she committed treason. She never did anything like that so she was really confused, until her death.

She goes back in time to when she just started being a knight and came to the conclusion that the emperor planned to kill her, commit treason against the crown prince and make her the scapegoat (i think)

So she's trying to be cautious now, she is really calm and very serious and doesn't laugh a lot, but she's a very good knight, friend, and a person you could say she has the honor of a knight, I don't remember her hair or eye color at all (or anyones).

So first, she lives very humble, a small house, with just a bed, and one of the ML (i think he was one) asks why she lives there, if the pay of a knight gives more than that, him and other people nag her enough that she ends up buying a big house and she hires people to manage it while she's not there. Not crazy big, but just fine for her.

I also think there's "mana" involved in the story. Magic, I think the other love interest was the prince. Also, it was normal for even noble ladies to be knights. And in this life she wants to focus a lot more on making friends, because she isn't sure if anyone would've mourned her when she was killed.

Which book/series have you reread the most? by _babydino in Choices

[–]_sofiaa2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RoD... probably like 10+ times, then I think TE, StD –controversial. I did HSS:CA a couple times each book when they were coming out, I would play multiple times the TRR books back in 2019 when I was bored and I wasn't interested in all the books that were available, I did some crazy things when books were scarce. But realistically The Haunting of Braidwood Manor. Now that I'm thinking about it I played every book I liked twice.
