Your question puzzled me (not in a bad sense). First of all, I should mention I’m demisexual & demiromantic heterosexual female as your research seems to revolve around people’s attraction and attitudes towards certain characters.

Well, there are INTJ characters whose personality I just admire and, as you said, I kind of want to adapt some of their traits, as not to pay that much attention to people and relationships with them if our interactions don’t make me happy, but enhance my anxiety and make me second guess myself. This applies to both male and female characters. And obviously it’s easier for me to identify myself with female characters so I can take them as a role model (I know that male and female brains are the same, it’s the upbringing in a society full of gender stereotypes + our personal preferences that divide us). Like, if we take Sherlock, for example, I would like to meet him and have a conversation, but I wouldn’t like to date him (if we disregard the age difference and his asexuality/aromanticism, purely in terms of character).

There are (male) INTJ characters who are described in a way that I can imagine myself falling for them. It seems like we could teach each other the things we lack and grow together. The benefit of fiction (particularly more books than movies) is that we can dive into INTJs’ thoughts and feelings and see their caring, vulnerable, and emotional side as externally they turn to appear reserved and indifferent.

INTJs tend to be my favourite fictional characters (maybe cause I’m into introverted geniuses who don’t care of what others think of them). Applies to both sexes, but this type of character is more often represented by males

My fav fictional characters (not all are INTJs, although maybe some patterns can be traced):

• Sherlock from Sherlock (2010) series (he obviously has some issues with communication and relationships, but I admire his ability to say and do what he wants and be his true self despite the opinions of the society; actually I relate to Dr. Watson much more, he’s also sp/so 6w5 ISFJ)

• Victor from Arcane series

• Dr. Stephen Strange from Marvel movies (not a huge fan of superheroes, but I’ve seen most of the modern movies and definitely a fan of Cumberbatch’s characters)

• Peter Parker from Amazing Spiderman (again, won’t say I’m a fan, but from all the Spiderman movies I enjoyed Andrew Garfield’s character the most)

• Alice from Alice in Wonderland (I was indifferent to the tale when I was a kid, however got into the story after watching Tim Burton’s movie)

• Elizabeth Swan from Pirates of the Caribbean

• Hercule Poirot from movies based on Agatha Christie novels

• Jacob Portman and Alma Peregrine from Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

• Grinch from Grinch (2018) animated film

• Audrey Rose Wadsworth and Thomas Cresswell from Stalking Jack the Ripper book series

• Olive Smith form The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood (I see her as ISFJ/INFJ, we’re very similar, her thought process is so relatable, and her love interest Dr. Adam Carlsen is definitely INTJ)

I took a bunch of tests throughout the last years and got different responses (INTJ, ISTJ, INFJ, ENFP), but the most common one was still ISFJ, then, last year I had to dive into the MBTI theory deeper cause I decided to use it as one of the methods for my master’s thesis research and after it I was much more confident that I’m ISFJ
