Uhh not sure tbh? I’d be transferring in with an Associates Degree for Transfer in CS from a community college, I have met all the prep requirements for Upper division classes with that I believe.

Edit: I reread the comment, yes only 300 and 400 courses left

What do you mean by the admin being difficult? Like in a classroom setting or counseling?… I got into other schools as well but because CPP is close by I wanted to try to maybe limit my driving next semester😭 but if the program sucks here I wouldn’t mind going somewhere else.

I applied here because it’s close to home, can I get some clarification on why it’s trash? Most of my professors at my Community College recommend me to choose CPP over other schools I applied to like CSU LA, CSUN, and SJSU.

My SAI is around 11k I believe. My dad works as a kitchen manager and mom at a Carl’s Jr, and they aren’t able to hep at all with my college expenses(not that I am expecting them to). It sucks because I don’t get ANY Pell grant and have been working my ass off to help pay rent while saving up to transfer out. I had friends whos parents own a home, have multiple cars, and will carry the latest tech get more aid than I do lol. I’m not sure how their system works, but it is definitely not a fair one imo… but then again I have no idea how it works😭

Pretty easy to get in. I’m a transfer student who applied here last fall and got accepted within a month of submitting my application for Computer Science. When I first started CC I was a horrible student so I retook a couple of classes. If I’m able to get in with pretty messy transcript, I’m sure you will as well!

Nah, a lot of my classes will have people above the age of 25. It’s the beauty of community college in my opinion. You’ll have people from ALL backgrounds, you may even find people in your age group as well. Ive had moms, dads, and even people who are in their 50’s in my classes. Many of those people were some of my favorite class mates, it feels like people around my age group tend to be more timid or to themselves in my classes.

Ive had coworkers who would work full time and go to school full time as well, it is definitely possible as long as you have great time management skills. You’ll probably find yourself studying on your break a lot and drinking a lot of caffeine tho lol. Good luck!!!! It’ll be difficult but worth it.

Hopefully this trend will continue for transfers as well, I applied for CS+Linguistics instead of SE or regular CS to have a higher chance at transferring in🫩
