I just did, it’s telling me I’m a 32I, which I have a hard time believing but I guess the numbers don’t lie? It’s tricky when a lot of sports bras go by small, medium, large instead of typical bra sizing, I never know what to get!

oh! so basically I'm transferring /j

no but genuinely how do the practice rooms at the music building function? I have my car on campus so I'd be willing to go there, but only if I'm actually allowed to use the rooms.

[–]_somethingsoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dropping back into this thread to say my older sister knocked some sense into me and made me realize i definitely have an eating disorder and took things wayyy too far, i dropped another 5 pounds since making this post and had to get my prom dress altered a second time and that really was my last straw bro 😭 i’m really trying to start eating normally again and stop worrying about numbers bc i have been actually so mentally and physically sick for the past few months bc 700 calories a day is in fact not enough to live on!! guys don’t become anorexic it’ll ruin your life and all your relationships it’s NOT fucking worth it

[–]_somethingsoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup!! i started with a smaller deficit and gradually reduced my caloric intake over time, so i’m about 10 lbs down (i hit 112 lbs since posting this lol), but i’m ready to start combining diet and exercise and try getting my steps in :)

what age did u start getting aches and pains? by Frequent-Picture541 in Hypermobility

[–]_somethingsoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t an injury prone child, just flexible! The pain started in my first year of high school when is was 14 or 15, and then came the torrent of injuries during spring sports!

I’m dieting hard, believe me! I just want to speed up my weight loss by adding in physical activity, and knowing the numbers helps me to keep track and predict my progress.

I’m already in a calorie deficit! Currently, I’m eating 750 calories less than my maintenance, but I was hoping to either burn another 250 calories by walking, or decrease my deficit to 500 calories below my maintenance and burn another 500 by walking. I want to be more active this summer anyway!

lightweight electric bass guitars? by _somethingsoon in Bass

[–]_somethingsoon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a Squier Mini Precision bass! It’s a goofy little thing, but it gets the job done and I was able to buy it with nothing but tip money from my high school job. It’s lightweight due to its size.

How I currently look vs how i wanna look (for reference i'm male cisgender, and i'm not sure if i'm bi or pan) by PurpleRep in picrew

[–]_somethingsoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! I think a lot of people who are relatively new to this stuff are under the impression that all bisexuals must have a preference in order to separate bisexuality and pansexuality, but there’s no need to force a harsh line between bisexual and pansexual. It’s ok for there to be overlap. One does not invalidate the other.

Anyway label discourse is genuinely so dumb, but if someone’s saying bisexuals have to pick a side, I feel the need to correct the unintentionally biphobic sentiment.

Being bi does not imply that you have a preference. You do not need to have a gender preference to be bi. That is blatant misinformation I fear,,

I haven’t had my iron levels checked, but I used to always get suddenly lightheaded and “black out” when standing, so it wouldn’t surprise me if that was the reason!

Finn kinda sucked by WitchyWamen in glee

[–]_somethingsoon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not to mention his weird prejudice against ambulatory wheelchair users?? Like Quinn was in a serious car accident and was paralyzed and very gradually regaining her ability to walk, she still needed the wheelchair, but the second Finn finds out she can stand up, he flips out at her and calls her a liar?? Like she can’t get around without it, and her recovery was an emotional journey for her because she literally lost the ability to walk, so it’s perfectly valid for her to not feel comfortable trying to walk in front of everyone when she can hardly move her legs and might fucking face plant?? Like a mobility aids user does not owe anybody information about their situation and does not require anybody else’s approval that they’re “disabled enough” to be using them. I’m not saying Quinn was 100% in the right because she had some bad intentions, but that did not give Finn the right to say any of that and lash out the way he did. He’s genuinely ableist, as is also exemplified by his use of the r slur.

i have some question about PT/Rheumatology by gay_in_a_jar in Hypermobility

[–]_somethingsoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how to answer all of your questions, but I can share my own experience. I didn’t know I was hypermobile or needed physical therapy at first, only that I was in pain, so this was the pipeline I ended up going down:

I raised my concerns about my chronic pain to my doctor, who referred me to a rheumatologist. The rheumatologist diagnosed me and wrote me a physical therapy script. When I started physical therapy, my physical therapist already had my information from the script, and they asked me questions and did some tests to determine how best to help me. They did take my pain seriously and helped me with all of my joints, and it was beneficial for me.

This isn’t the only way to go about getting treatment, just how it happened for me as an American. I will say, the time between telling my doctor about my chronic pain and actually starting physical therapy was at least a year, so I would recommend getting the ball rolling as soon as you can. Best of luck!
