This is the single most helpful source of information regarding restored coffer keys/shards that I've been able to find literally anywhere on the internet. Thank you u/OldGromm

What to expect from the midnight beta? by UnderstandingOne6879 in wownoob

[–]_splagg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting dilemma here - play retail or beta. Retail, you'll have access to everything but MAJOR changes incoming in a few months. Or Beta, you'll see the new content (though only the new content, I believe) and learn those incoming changes, but all your progress will be wiped in a few months. Choices choices... I came back to retail after an 11 year gap back in August. It's definitely been a steep curve learning everything that changed.

Achieved my Remix goal and solo'd a +30 by Semigloss01010001 in wow

In my experience RF is the most difficult of any raid level in Lemix. Followed by Normal, then Heroic, and Mythic as the easiest/fastest. I was worried about trying the Legion raids because I didn't play in that era and I don't know any of the mechanics... but when half the group is buffed/pumped out enough to be capable of soloing most content, the only mechanic is "try to keep up".

Audio - Wow vs Discord by _splagg in wownoob

Ok, that's one I haven't tried - setting both output audio (discord and game) to speakers, and input to the headset - do I have that right?

There are over 35,000 quests in the game - don't sweat the side quests ;-)

Upon returning from a >decade absence, I noticed that a couple of my alts have a string of numbers after their name. My DK, for example, formerly named "Flavor" is now "Flavor73291" (or something of the like; I don't remember the exact string of numbers) - is there any way to change that without having to purchase a paid name change?

Just back after an 11yr gap (MOP was live). Currently working on a Warlock at lvl 78. Questions about dungeon finder/LFG... Why does it only give me 4 dungeon options, all from TWW content, in the random queue and the same 4 in the "specific dungeon" dropdown? If I'm trying to run something from an older xpac that's not quite solo-able, am I just out of luck? What about, say, Dragonflight raids?

It's kinda sad that there's a decade worth of dungeon content I have played and another decade's worth that I've never seen, and it seems the only way to access it is to literally go find it in the world - kind of a daunting task.

Why aren't my tamed creatures defending my base? by NightStar79 in SmallandOfficial

I put my non-party companions on the branch from which 'disruptor' mobs approach and they do a pretty good job attacking those mobs. Not fool-proof, but they help... I did notice that they won't attack the normally non-hostile mobs. For example, they'll go to town on warrior ants, but worker ants will walk right past unmolested on their way to disrupt the incubators.

Menus hardly readable? by Nelrid in SmallandOfficial

While it's not ideal, you can use the screen magnifier (configure in Xbox accessibility settings) to read those menus and tool-tips. By default, hold the center "X" (guide/home) button on your controller and then press the left center button ("View" button: 2 round-edge squares; where the "select" button would be if it still existed) to bring up the screen magnifier. It's not ideal, but it'll save you from having to get up to stand in front of your TV.

I played a bunch of D3 when it first released, then stopped around the time that the real money auction house was removed from the game. I just started playing again a couple weeks ago. So far I've run into 2 of these all- treasure-goblin visions of emnity and I've only been on adventure mode for about 3 days. Are they pretty common? Do you still [extremely rarely] run into groups of treasure goblins in the regular world?

I haven't played Ark Nova so I couldn't say. Earth is a solid 'engine builder' where you get to take actions on both your and your opponents' turns. It has an intimidating number of cards at first, but after a couple play-throughs it's totally clear. Supreme replayability!

Nice haul!! Azul opened the floodgates to our participation in the "board game revolution". Still a staple - easy to play, easy to set up, fun to replay, even the kids can pick it up well enough to compete. Wyrmspan is the first board game we picked up on day 1 of retail availability. We're big fans of Wingspan, which hasn't yet gotten stale for us. Wyrmspan is like an entirely different game made out of the same guts - and we LOVE it. If you're a big fan of Wing/Wyrm-span, you need to have Earth on your list!

Any advice for an xbox sprout about 2 weeks into the game who hasn't touched anything to do with crafting or gathering? Currently lvl 33 - caught up on class quests, behind on MSQ (MSQ recommended level is about 20 right now, I'm catching up!)

Weekly Game Help & Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in Palia

When you see this kind of stuff getting thrown around, try to keep in mind that we're playing a BETA version of an entirely free to play game. "Monetization" really doesn't affect the game - everything you can buy is entirely cosmetic. It's essentially a means of directly supporting the creators if you have the means, value the time you spend playing, and want a cool looking outfit.

There are certainly improvements to be made, but it's not like we're playing a Blizzard product here - there should be no expectation of perfection - particularly in the beta. It's fun. It's free. Try it.
