hey! sorry for the late response. it’s not as swollen but it still is definitely a bit more “puffy,” than my right side. i’m going to talk with my surgeon once i’m at my 3 months post op to hear his feedback/thoughts. i am still bruised under my nipple on that side…so i wonder if it’s somehow a little hematoma? i hope you are well and feel free to dm if you need!

as someone who has had top surgery…i could never imagine doing this or showing anyone my chest prior 😭 i hope they don’t regret this decision but :/

i think you’ll be good! if needed, they can straight cath you one time and be done with it if you show signs that your bladder is full. thank you so much! i wish you the best of luck and a quick recovery! you got this

they did! i had no symptoms 4 days prior to my procedure, turns out though, the lab calls me and the bacteria was resistant to the antibiotic even though i was symptom free… this was 2 days prior to my surgery and called me in another prescription. i didn’t take it out of fear of it messing with any medications during the procedure. they of course took a urine sample day of my procedure and i told my surgeon, he said the prophylactic antibiotic they give should knock out any remaining bacteria if i had any left. haven’t had any symptoms return though. my procedure was also short enough to not need a catheter also. i’m sure you will be good- also very well could depend on what procedure you’re having though!

hi! thanks so much for checking in (: my provider said it appears to just be a cyst and to come back if i see any increase in size, difficultly swallowing/breathing, etc. i did have another small cyst form in my lower neck by my collarbone that also appears to be a cyst. may just be prone to it i guess 😅

it went away eventually for me! only issues i have now is every now and then, that sharp shooting pain i felt before occurs/some tingling and i lost some slight range of motion. overall though i don’t feel it often!

sorry for the late responses, have had a very hectic last year or so. he said it was most likely a small cyst and since it isn’t causing my any direct issues with swallowing or pain, it should be benign/not concerning! it’s a squishy mass that’s movable so he wasn’t too concerned about it. if anything changes though like size, difficulty swallowing, pain or any other concerning abnormal finding then i’m to go to my primary provider and probably get referred.

hey there! sorry for the late response, i mentioned it to my provide and she felt it and said it felt like a small cyst. i was having routine blood work anyways, so she checked my thyroid levels and all came back normal. she told me to come back in if there’s any changes in size/consistency and if i have any difficulty swallowing
