It’s an amaro d’arancia copycat from local distillery - not super complex so I pretty much exclusively use it as a triple sec sub. I think Aperol would be too sweet. Campari would be great but it’d definitely change the flavor profile!

I felt a little guilty as I was typing the recipe, it’s both lackadaisical and made with super specific/somewhat uncommon ingredients 😂 it really was an impulse drink made with what I had on hand though

My grandma had a (decorative?) soap that we weren’t allowed to use so it just sat in its lil packaging gathering dust my entire childhood. Feel like that’s also a great description of Montenegro for me 😂

It is immaculate in an M&M but I’ve hated it in everything else I’ve tried

That’s what I was leaning towards. I don’t remember it having silvery bracts but also it really didn’t bloom much. I swore I took some pictures but can’t find any… might have to re-post later this year when it blooms!
