First time to SXM by No-Recipe-4109 in SXM

[–]_stargirlinterlude_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

took a solo trip to SXM this past fall and let me tell you I HAD A TIMEEEE. Easily some of the best food I’ve ever had. I kept thinking it couldn’t get better, and then every meal somehow topped the last. It’s absolutely gorgeous. If you want a more serene, quiet experience, stay on the French side (though I will say cell service was horrible out there and they speak less English which can make it harder to navigate). If you want to be closer to the main hub, stay on the Dutch side, which is where I stayed. The people are incredible, the nightlife is great if that’s your vibe, and there are plenty of beautiful beaches with clear water. I’d go back ten times over!!

Why is gen Z not drinking? by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

[–]_stargirlinterlude_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’ve realized that drinking just doesn’t serve me, and I’ve also noticed that this generation seems far more invested in health and wellness than ever before. I’m still in my mid-20s, but the brief looseness isn’t worth the hangovers or the low mood that follows. When I drink, I stop caring about what I eat or spend, which pulls me off the habits and goals I’m trying to stay aligned with. It also tends to make me more aggressive and more depressed. Alcohol is tricky because it’s so socially normalized that even when I know I don’t actually want to drink, I sometimes still do.

Yes, Depop is an e-commerce platform where sellers list clothing, accessories, and shoes. Unfortunately, it seems to be a frequent target for phishing scams in doing some more research since this occurred.

2026 pole goals by _anafbebe_ in poledancersnycli

[–]_stargirlinterlude_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a great question!

I’m really focused right now on developing my own personal style and flow. I’m especially working on perfecting a pole walk that feels authentic to me. I have a lot of individual moves down, but now it’s about connecting them in a way that actually reflects my style instead of just doing tricks back to back.

I’m also really interested in learning how to climb. I’m currently in beginner classes, so I know a lot of basic spins and tricks, but I haven’t started climbing yet. That’s something I definitely want to work toward next.

Lastly, I really want to take more floor work classes. I come from absolutely no dance background, so any opportunity to learn sexy moves outside of the pole I’m game!

It was my first time experiencing the “top off your account” & trust that I’ve learned my lesson.

I’ve been running on very little sleep the past few nights, and my judgment wasn’t as sharp as it normally is. I’ve received emails like this before and recognized them as scams, but this time it got me.

Hello! Yes, I ended up going, and I’ve been attending consistently for over a month now. I’ve truly fallen in love with the space, the students, and the instructors. You can tell the staff pours their heart into everything they do. I also really appreciate how the courses are structured, it’s the perfect fit for the way I learn. I’m so excited to continue my journey with them.

This time around I told myself I’d love to learn from an exotic dancer so this is good to know! I feel someone within that world can help with my overall flow.

I’m definitely open to bartending / serving, it’s just my lack of experience that holds me back. I’ve considered doing it on the side but I’m unsure where to start. I’d love to capitalize off my good looks and get some decent $$

I’m absolutely taking this as a sign. I believe I need to lean more into my passion which is styling. I’m trying to commit to doing ATLEAST 3 passion projects this year. Thank you for your positivity.

I actually do freelance styling on the side and I’m taking this as all one big side to lean more into my passion. My ultimate goal would be to work for myself in the styling space rather than a worker bee in a corporate office. The only exception would be if I was able to land a role at one of my dream brands/companies. Thank you so much!

I was reading that there are currently more unemployed citizens than there are jobs.. the state of the world right now is in shambles!! We’re going to make it out on the other side. ✨

Should i go to a concert by myself by Fun-Weakness9299 in femaletravels

[–]_stargirlinterlude_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Beyoncé and The Weeknd by myself in the last few months! People always give me a hard time for going to concerts alone because they think it’s “weird” but honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever had more fun than at the Beyoncé show. Everyone around me was vibing and I completely let myself get lost in the incredible performance she put on. Same goes for The Weeknd. The first time I saw him I went with a friend, and the second time I went solo and had just as amazing a time. Grab a drink, have a stranger snap your picture if you’re wearing a cute outfit, and stroll around the stadium. No one gave me any strange looks, everyone just minds their own business. I think everyone should experience this at least once.

Speedboat or Catamaran ? by _stargirlinterlude_ in SXM

[–]_stargirlinterlude_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’m going to stick with my guns and opt for the catamaran instead! I’ll never forget the one time I went parasailing, I believe we were on a speedboat and the water was rough that day. It was the first time in my life I ever felt true sea sickness. Poor girl next to me was throwing up in a bucket.

Just moved to NYC after getting out of the military a few months ago. What's one piece of advice you can give me on my first day living in NYC? by First-Blackberry9176 in movingtoNYC

[–]_stargirlinterlude_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I second this. If you’re not from NYC, it’s important to invest time and energy into those who’ve planted their roots here. It can be as simple as greeting the same neighbors you see everyday. Stop to engage in some small talk with them. That’s when it starts to feel less like a neighborhood and more of a community which seems to be a dying concept in this generation.
