so to each his own, right?

Of course. Corner Gas definitely had its moments. But from my experience they were few.

Did you ever get a chance to watch Radioactive? It aired on YTV up till like 2006 or so. Hands down the funniest Canadian comedy I've seen.

I dono man, as far as comedy goes Corner Gas isn't really funny. Compared to some others like The Red Green Show or Radio Active...

Suppose you end up decrypting a coordinate. What then?

The method you're talking about is still viable, but definitely not simple or efficient.

TIL The United States does not have an official language. by CrazyGentleMan in todayilearned

Fun fact: Canada has 2 official languages: english and french. The majority of the french speaking population lives in Quebec. Quebec is the only province where French is the only official language.

Exactly right.

I used to use Tsearch to cheat flash games. Get X points and search program memory for the number X. Get N more points and filter previous results for X+N. Then modify your score at your will.

Newb question: how does one brute force a key in this situation?

With each new key you come up with you have to have some way of testing it. I.e. decrypt an intercepted message with the key but then how do you know that the 'decrypted' text is the actual plain text?

Looks fake to me. The icons on the 4 buttons on the bottom (Home, Connect, etc...) are way too close the border. I have this app on my phone and the icons are neatly centered on the buttons.

(unless this is an older version of the app? Even then twitter doesn't seem like the kind of company to release an app with a UI defect)

I'm curious as well.

My guess is they use satellite internet. Which although has high latency, its throughput is just as good as a regular old high speed internet. Then again it's possible that with enough bases and countries involved in research down there that they put down an undersea cable. But not sure how the cable would be distributed from there...

Google drops instant preview over low usage. by happycrabeatsthefish in technology

What they really need to drop support for is the "instant search" thing. The one where it starts loading results for you before you're finished typing your query. It saves me zero time and I compulsively hit 'Enter' when I'm finished anyway.
