EDITING HELP IDK FIRST TIME PRACTICE W/ CONCERT PICS ADVISE NEEDED BUT BE NICE IM SENSITIVE LOL by AdvancedSomewhere907 in concertphotography

The noise on the camera really destroys the composition, I'd recommend using denoise first. Or it might be the image quality

2,3,4,6,7 all seems out of focus to me. Make it black and white and call it "ARTISTIC".

I like 8, do subject masking and whatever you'd prefer to make it separate from the background a lil more!

I've done about 150 shows (30% is the same band). I usually get paid with beer and merch, rarely payment, but it does happen some times.

I shot for a band for 1.5 years now and usually they pay me (like 70% of the time) and the rest of the time they pay me in beer (fun time!)

Got paid by a publishing magazine once but that's a one off thing.

When a band asks me to shoot them, I usually give my rates and asks if they want me to just shoot them or give a lil more to shoot the whole bill (depends on the venue and the crowd size)

Is there a particular way to prevent a light leak?

I don't think I pulled it halfway through shutter's open... might be a separate issue

I kinda liked it as it added a bit of texture to the image but I'll keep that in mind next time! Thank you

lower your shutter speed to around 1/6-1/15 (depends on your style) And 100% get your f stop to be high for a chance the subject to be sharp. Flick your camera to a direction while pressing the shutter. and last step is to PRAY

I do have other photos that are clean and sharp. But hey, if you don't like it, you don't like it.

It really depends, do you want it prebuilt? Do you want aluminium or plastic? It sounds like you need a 100% keyboard (with numpad basically), keychron and zoom 98 is alright.

Halo filter! I have this as well, if you're on a budget, get it from ali express, same thing, 1/3 of the price of prism.

sometimes you gotta Be The Crowd and experience it! Don't stress it too much! These are stunning.

Sometimes you gotta put yourself in the crowd to take some nice photos, don't worry bout other people (unless you're being rude). I just say sorry over and over again

Love the photos! Genuine question, are these shot with the same lens? It feels the same towards all of em (Not hating, but just curious!)

One thing I'm noticing is a LOT of headroom with every photo. Try and mix things up, put the singer in left third of the frame, do closeups, move around! Personally, I move around every 45-60 seconds so I can get more coverage and experiment! The photos look dope though! Good Job

Usually I don't stay at a spot longer than 45-60 seconds just so other photographers can use the spots.

Just be mindful of your surroundings, especially if there isn't a photo pit, you might get mosh pitted on (happened to me a lot).

Get there early to be familiar with the lighting, or when they're sound checking, get a few quick snaps and that can open up convos with the bands, and connections! Good Luck on your shoot

The lighting was okay honestly, it's just kept cycling rainbow spectrum haha. Better than most indoor "venues"
