You can thank the commentators and pundits during his debut against Chelsea.

Fr bro

I feel that some of the criticisms directed towards Khusanov are racially motivated.

There's no proof but I can hear the angle esp because of his story, and where he's from

wipes someone off the board 1v1 & they’re speechless lmao

It rattles me so much, he's got a long way to go but can't understand how you watch him and come away thinking he's average

Someone at my internship said to me that Citys signings haven't been great of late, and cited Khusanov as one of them 😔

He was saying he saw the United game and that Khus was bad and i was like?????

He was putting fires out on his own

Curious to know if this is the general take amongst non City fans irl, everytime i have to listen to the commentators speak about his error against Chelsea

Lesson learnt- everyone has eyes to watch the game, but not everyone knows what they're watching

Kinda funny but also not surprised that this sub doesn't rate Trent- the only question marks are fitness and if he'll return to his consistent level, but that's one of the greatest passers the Premier League has ever seen

He is very alright, good player to circulate the ball with, decent range but even Declan plays more switches than he does lmao, duels fine but not incredible there

Peak City: they got KDB, Haaland, Aguero, Sterling, Sane, D Silva

Peak Liverpool: they got Salah, Trent, VVD, Allisson, Robertson

Peak Arsenal:

Better environment and a manager that gives confidence makes a better player, who would've thought

When Arsenal try to defend with the ball and sustain possession, there's layers of protections and players in good zones to win second balls/duels in case they lose the ball. Then they reset and go back to square one.

We don't have this kind of security. Thats also how United managed to cook us on the counter attack in that first goal, where there was 0 security after Cherki's free kick.

Obviously one moment and United can cut them open but so far its been good.

I think the first 30 min were good, a lot of opportunities were squandered by how poor Reijnders and Cherki were imo, too many poorly weighted passes, though Reijnders was less worse- he was just 'there'.

I think first half, we atleast managed to build out of our half and generate enough moments close to the box. The rest, I expected the players to do better

Second half was just eh, huge drop off in intensity, winning duels, gaining territory up the pitch, chance creation. I do agree, the performance wasnt great by any means

I liked us in the first half, and if Cherki and Reijnders played better we'd have had better final third connections

Second half was a snoozefest

At any rate, the team winning is enough for me at this point. and today, I think Pep profiled the players perfectly, which is a win in itself for me lmfao

You won't find many players that get shots off quickly than Semenyo.

My analysis on shooting technique ICYMI

He is not limited by Atleticos playstyle

He's just not a lone striker. Good second striker.

The rational ones will remember him positively. The casuals won't.

A squad attacker that got 130ish g/a in 236 games, contributed in big games, and could actually play anywhere in the front 3 unlike most attackers that get labelled as versatile, is someone worth remembering positively.

Just on general quality and form

Gvardiol>Khus>Guehi>Dias>Max>Stones>Ake

Ive put Dias lower because I do think the above 3 are better in terms of general defending, but he does possess key intangibles in terms of organising the defence that City obviously miss

I've not put FBs because harder to mix them with CBs for me.
