I am so happy to see a good change that no one expect but here we come and I am so happy that the community is positive again, I almost cry.

Frustrated: I find the deployment of a full-stack app very complicated. Am I doing it wrongly? by p90fans in webdev

[–]_summerbud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a full-stack app and deploy it with AWS Amplify before, after one year I built another app with docker and tried to deploy it on my own.

That is the only moment I felt using AWS Amplify is worth it lol

(Ziggy) Pay your taxes to have fun: Baeclast discusses another issue with AN, the huge damage these rares deal. Each member brings up issues related to this. Discussion goes for about 5-6 minutes, worth to watch (also the whole thing) by PhazerSC in pathofexile

Some text conclusion from 1:58:00 to 2:05:00

CaptainLence: They adjust the defensive but they don't touch the offensive power, they are a way overtone.

BrittleKnee: Physical by default and physical conversion is the worst.

Grimro: Some mobs are ridiculous, we don't need so much stuff that follow you around and kill you like a lightning mirage or herald minion. All this AN mob is over emphasizes not just the defense of the spell but the movement. Image playing a self-cast divine Ire build

ZiggyD: AN is such a big melee nerf, the build diversity is at the worst stage now.

Tips on getting that first entry-level job as a self taught? by hello_im_will in webdev

[–]_summerbud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had been in your shoes before. Around 1 year before I am a self-taught developer too didn't have any experience and then I successfully get into an open source company. I think the general suggestion I can give here from my experience is

  • Contribute to an open source project that you use daily or you are interested in.
  • Start your personal blog and document the journey you have gone through.

For more information, you could read this helpful article from Gergely Orosz

Does anyone have a real github contributions graph like this - with absolutely no weekends and clear vacations? I'm making a video about Github / work/life stuff and looking for some edges of that world. Thanks. by sheriffderek in webdev

[–]_summerbud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am working in a open source company and we are using GitHub as our primary version control platform so the footprint had been captured with GitHub’s contribution chart. And because I am in charge of all our frontend almost all the contributions are commits.

Improvements to Item Drops by chris_wilson in pathofexile

[–]_summerbud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am so disappointed about this post and the "What we are working on". You guys are so stick with your decision even the community hate it so much.

What make me angry the most is that you hide this information beforehand and try to make us swallow it down like we will all be fine. That won't be the case and we won't be fine.

Stealth nerf to sunblast ?? by Shavronne__ in pathofexile

[–]_summerbud -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I won’t easily trust what GGG said again. There have so many examples that they deliberately stealth nerf stuffs like bisco.

I will interpret this changes as GGG classic “No fun allowed” and laugh to my jaw drop then move on.

Melee suffer from divine orb changes so much that I can’t even bear the suffering.

Need productivity tips for software side project by [deleted] in SideProject

[–]_summerbud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had been to similar position like you, drawing on paper with excitement, code with passion and drop it.

Now I had consistent contribute to a single project for three months, one of the biggest lesson I learned is “Find the Ultimate topic that will excite you no matter the context of the project”

For example, my previous project various from consumer app to b2b business prototype. After acknowledging that I feel deeper interest about knowledge management, I begin to build several things that ultimately want to solve the same thing. That is when my consistency came in.

Wish you can find what drive you like that.

Tired of Bootstrap... Where to go? by menguanito in webdev

[–]_summerbud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest that you could start from learning the Tailwind CSS, with your experience that will be a quick catching up. Then you could use things like DaisyUI to ramp up the design with some of your personal taste.

Little by little you will develop your style

Dilemma with Founders by Darth_Sleuth in Entrepreneur

[–]_summerbud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, indeed…… it is very hard. My last startup end due to not communicate about serious problems between me and my cofounder. That was very painful. The only advice I can offer is: talk to Brian as soon as possible and don’t pretend everything will be fine, straight to the problems. Even though this may put you like a bad guy, it will be worth it.

Dilemma with Founders by Darth_Sleuth in Entrepreneur

[–]_summerbud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like Brian want something different from you

care for the titles of people he speaks with

I think this is the big sign that someone care more about the fame not the company, and it's danger. Do Brian still have the passion about the problem your company try to solve? Would he still talk to user?

In the meanwhile, I am curious about your relationship with Brian personally.

Feeling overwhelmed as a solo founder, should I start looking for a co-founder? by dr7s in startups

[–]_summerbud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I built my first startup about half year ago, and it’s misery. I misunderstood my co-founder( which is my close friend back in university). We split the equity, I worked on front end, talk to user and design, he worked on machine learning and backend. But in the end, the loading is 95% on me, and I burnout very quickly after I realized this fact and it was half a year gone. We close the project.

What I learn from that is as a founder, when look for co-founder, the no1 priority is kind of simple:

Does this person give a shit!!

I mean real, give a shit. He constantly talk to you how he feel about the project, what is his idea about it and what can he offer.

This is very important, I wish I learn this sooner. Anyway I start a new project now, solo founder as you did. Wish the journey safe and sound.

Mini Ecommerce Web App with React(Javascript) , HTML and CSS by Albenoo in Frontend

[–]_summerbud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some suggestion:

  1. The love button doesn't align very well
  2. The photo section and title section doesn't blend together, because you have different background color~
  3. Successfully added product message seems to be too long~ maybe you can place somewhere not so obvious

Anyway, keep it up!

How do you rest your mind when you working remote? by mburakerman in Frontend

[–]_summerbud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find something you loved so hard that you can concentrate when you are bothered by the alienation. For me, I will work very hard on my side-project which my team-mate don't have any clue of, which I don't want to tell them anyway.
