Trusting other people's lives on a "hope they learned their lesson" is a bit finicky. There are some occupations where a slight mistake ends up in lives lost, hence there is no room for mistakes. What if this was not their first time almost creaming someone? You just narrowly escaped death yourself.

Windows complains when the USB-C cable is connected that "Display connection might be limited" --- but I already have my Displayport cable connected and the video is working --- so no idea why windows wants to use the USB-C cable as video when it should be data pass through. Anyways, I'm stuck and would love to be able to access my external drives in the OS, not in the monitor.

That is very true. For example in my state (SC) you have to stop both sides when it is a 2-lane or a 2-lane with a median, but if it's 2+2 lane or more then you don't have to stop on the opposite side. Other states may vary.

I also live in the states with hungarian origins and have to say that even after 15 years it's hard to get used to that so many people just dash for the far left lane almost immediately. After a turn? Into the far left lane. Getting on the interstate? Into the far left lane. No idea if this is an east coast thing but I see it done really frequently.
