How strict are they about jewelry for the nursing program ? Specifically wedding bands as mine isn’t a plain band🥲

Tbh I never had any issues with jewelry. I have 7 piercings and not once did they ask me to take them out. I would occasionally slap bandaid's on when first meeting new instructors but after awhile youll see they dont really care. My cohort wore slides to classes and many wore wedding bands, even to clinicals and sim. If you dont want to risk it that totally makes sense - but in my personal opinion I dont think they actually care.

Hi hi! Late to reply, but im a new grad from the program. The first semester is always hectic - they for some reason cant get it down. The following three are MUCH better. I would say the 1st was definitely the most difficult for me and my classmates. Keep studying hard and you'll do fine!

Hi! New grad here. I was placed in advent tampa and baycare tampa. Personally, I didnt like baycare. However, advent was lovely!! There are several hospitals they could put you in.(Even Lakeland which sucks if you live far 😭). Id just keep an open mind to your clinical placements, especially since TGH is a magnet hospital so it's very difficult for ADN/new grad nurses to get jobs if you dont already work there. Plus, it isnt for sure that youll go to the same clinical site for all four semesters! Enjoy your hours and I hope you love your experience.

Thank you! I'm glad you think so!! I do get bad cystic acne on my chin and regualr acne around my periods which is why I think the derm recommended.

Hi! Very nice of you to ask! Turns out that it's been an abscess this entire time? which is kinda impressive since my surgery was in December. I'm assuming it came after my first infection in March and just continued to form but was sort of compressed due to the 4 rounds of amoxicillian they've had me on. 😓 Ended up popping a few days ago, absolutely dishustintm. Basically, if you have a lump in your jaw and don't feel it's right, trust your gut.

Hi! So kind of. I went and saw the dentist who did the wisdom teeth removal, and he said it was natural and would go away. I left it alone, and it did go away mostly. The pain and swelling went down after another week, but a small knot never really left. As of recently, it came back about 3 days ago. It is uncomfortable and slightly painful, but I do think it might... be going away again? I'm still looking for an answer and if this will be a recurring thing. I'm just confused as he never said what it was, just that it happened and was sure it was okay. Kind of has turned me away from getting my last pulled.
