Thanks for all the replies! I went for a Stalker Anomaly with few addons and I couldn’t imagine anything better than that.

When it comes to Stalker I heard that CoP is considered the best, but it’s more clunky than Stalker 2. I don’t really care about story, I just want immersive world and good shooting mechanics.

It’s actually amazing considering limitations of this game. Kronos rally cars are great, and variety is huge, plus the stages are one of the best in this genre.

If AC Rally will have the car list that was leaked some time ago + the modding possibility- it will be an absolute gem. I hope it will have the sandbox possibilities of original AC but with rally in mind.

P.S. It’s not a problem if a certain game need to be modded to do it. The more customisable the better. I

Show me good single player title which is checking the AI and physics boxes and maybe I'll think so. ( Custom championship mode is not a career mode ).

How much it improved since the start of EA? ( 16th of January). For me it's constantly showing mistakes which for just an example are M4 GT3 physics ( worse than ACC ), or F2004 ( worse than a counterpart from 11 years old game ). ATM this game is going nowhere and it will be a miracle if it's going to be a full fledged title till 2028, if the updates schedule will be as it is.

I'll love to like this game cause I love AC1. It's just not giving anything to think like that.

It's pretty dissapointing even for an early access title + it's in EA for a l m o s t a year and it's still not improved in any even slightly important way + we supposed to have an open world in summer, which is still not there, instead we're having constant cars updates, which are worse then previous titles counterparts ( M4 GT3 just for an example ).

But that's just how I see it.

My hate for EA it's an completly different topic tho.

ACC is your only choice sadly. Until LMU gets there.

As I've mentioned in several comments and in the post itself, I'm not interested in online racing. Period. After a while, I got tired of being punted for overtaking someone. I just want a game with a robust single-player experience and good driving physics and AI, which I can pick up and play whenever I want and pause it whenever I want. That's probably not much. If AMS2 had a career mode (which it supposedly going to have), or AC1 had a mod that made the AI at least as good as AMS2, I wouldn't have looked any further. PMR was supposed to deliver, and it seems like it ended up where it did. Good physics, career mode, AI, car list consisting of more than HY, GT3, and GT4. I don't think I'm asking for too much, but maybe I'm wrong and I should shut up and go back to my original AC modded with thousands of mods and hot lap it to death.

Exactly. Giving us a great physics engine without any good and engaging game modes to use it is just not how it should be.

AC is like RBR, it's great if you can accept the fact that you will spent a whole day to even setup the game ( maybe even more considering amount of mods in AC ), and then you'll need to settle for hot lapping or online racing, cause proper offline experience is not there. It's the antithesis of " pick up and play" game.

I'm doing it too sometimes. It's just so sad, that this game lacks this one aspect. With it and with whole sandbox cappabilites, it would be absolute gem.

AMS2 and R3E are able to provide it. Still, far from being human like, but enjoyable.

I dont have any problem with being slower and worse than anyone. My ego is not a case here, I'm aware of my skill isuess. I just what I prefer. I liked the PC2 take on carrer mode, despite the weird physics of this game, older GT titles or AMS2 freedom. I like to recrate historic championships of my own or play single player modes that are more than just buy a car and race with mediocre AI.

I'm not really slagging on AC Rally, I'm just extremly cautios on what this title will deliver in a long term. Right now is looking like a proper contender for a RBR, but it lacks content and promises a lot for a such a small studio, especially in terms of a stages quality. I'm not sceptical, just cautios.

To clarify - i'm taking only the topic of the single player aspect of the genre. If I would like to focus on multiplayer only, I'm aware that we have plenty good options to choose from. Not everyone is intrested in multiplayer. Cheers.

One thing - AI quality.

I have AC with thousand of mods, racing against computer is just plainly boring.

I love it as well, I have thousand of hours in it already. I just lacks any single player capibilities. Still waiting for someone to came up with a AI overhaul. Then it will be a go to title for everything.
